Heh... Well... to be fair I can enjoy both. :3
I just prefer the taste of gin, if mixed well with the vermouth.

aretoo knows next to nothing about alcohol, as he loathes the taste. His friends and family enjoy the phrase "Here, try this; you can't taste the alcohol in this at all!", aretoo believes, mostly to see the faces aretoo makes when ingesting said foul substance. (aretoo doesn't have anything against alcohol in principal; he just can't stand the taste.)

Sentama Lin Heh... Well... to be fair I can enjoy both. :3 I just prefer the taste of gin, if mixed well with the vermouth. I have only tried a Vodka Martini and didn't like it. And since I like Vodka it must have been the vermouth I disliked for whatever reason. @aretoo: Lol

Perhaps. You drink vodka alone, yes?
@Aretoo: Awwws... I understand. Though that is a bit cruel about the whole taste-this-there's-no-taste thing. *ponders* I always assumed that people drank because they liked the taste...

HmmI'm in your boat, Aretoo... I've had one glass of wine so far (since becomeing of age) and I actually couldn't understand why people thought it tasted good... maybe I've just trained my taste buds to hate it, but it just didn't taste good at all...
I also like drinking pomegranate juice, which I think tastes about the same; it contains the same thick twang that the wine had, but for some reason it tastes good... go figure.

@Jimbo: In my experience with the people I know, they drink wine because it's stronger than beer and is easier to get down than straight liquor. *shrugs* As for taste... well... everything sort of has to be acquired. In general, alcoholic or not, it's best to just trust one's own taste.

The Smirnoffeith citrus is basically what i take with me to parties to drink and such, as well as Absolut Vodka for shots. But I'm finding im kinda over the Smirnoff, any ideas on good random drink to drink when just hanging about? (I don't beer, tastes awful and makes me want to vomit)

ninja Edit: On the topic of wine... Well, I can only drink "sweet" red wine...sweet as in not dry...I hate dry alcohol... Never liked sparkling wine cause of that. (And that stuff is big here...yuck)

LOVE pomegranate juice, and cranberry juice, and... well, pretty much any (non-fermented wink ) fruit juice, really. I'm particularly fond of Northland's cranberry-blackberry and cranberry-blueberry blends, and the new pomegranate green tea mixes from, I believe, Minute Maid. ^_^
Oddly, though I love the smell, I really don't like the taste of coffee, either. Good thing I don't need a morning "pick-me-up" like a lot of people. whee
