@Laz: It may be because you drink flavoured vodka in the form of a shot that you didn't enjoy a martini. A martini in general is about 7 parts Gin or Vodka and 1 part (or less) of Vermouth, and should be sipped rather than actually drunk. Then again apparently not many like my taste in beverage. As for a random drink... Well... I also like old fashioneds: 4 cL Bourbon, Scotch, or Rye Whiskey; 1 Sugar Cube; 2 dashes Angostura Bitters; and a splash of Soda Water.
