And another! Spotting another comrade in danger, they wasted no time in blinking between, calculating it just right to flame the deadly clump that threatened them.

They returned to their spot in formation just in time to burn another tangle of Thread, but before they'd quite gotten it all, the wind gusted it back at them, and they flashed away again, just in time to avoid injury. Someone in one of the lower wings would have to take care of the rest!

Thread gusted towards them and, perhaps a little overconfident in the wake of their string of very well-timed hops, they flashed between in hopes of avoiding it - only to find themselves in the middle of the sheet! Dobrokhoth screamed in surprise and pain and the pair hopped away to rid themselves of the feasting strands, and then to (hopefully) safer air.
Tsunami Wing Herg'r of Bronze Hyglath HP: 32+10-10=32/44 Status Effect: N/A XP: (+6 base; +5 to distribute) Target Accuracy: 6 Flame Length: 6 General Stamina: 8 General Agility: 6 Between Accuracy: 7 Pain Resilience: 7 Instinct: 6 Luck: 7
Hyglath keened with his fellows, mourning the loss of the young green from another wing. He was sure that she had been good, and strong, and had died well, but for all that, it was still sad. It always was. When, almost immediately after, they saw a wingmate in danger, he and His did not hesitate to act. Thinking to save them, they flashed between in order to reach them faster-
And right into the clump of Thread. Hyglath roared and blinked away again.

Well, that had...tickled. But they were fine! Mostly! Probably! In fact, this long into the fight, that was exactly what they had needed to get their blood and ichor pumping again! And so when the wind buffeted them, Hyglath fought it with renewed fervor, refusing to be blown out of formation.
...unfortunately, another clump of Thread was perfectly happy to come to them, and was blown right into the bronze's side and haunches. It burned, and he roared.

And as they came back from between, wounds dripping blood and ichor, they were just in time for Hyglath to catch a sliver of Thread on his wingsail. It was nothing compared to the rest, but really?!

As they returned to formation once more, Herg'r thumped a hand against his dragon's scored hide. I don't know about you, but I'm awake now! Ready to finish this?
Hyglath roared agreement - and then warning to one of their wingmates!
HARBINGERS WING I'llian of blue Xith HP: 12/25 Status Effect: n/a XP: (+6 to base stats) (+5 to distribute as I see fit) Target Accuracy: +7 Flame Length: +6 +1 General Stamina: +6 +2 General Agility: +8 Between Accuracy: +6 Pain Resilience: +7 +2 Instinct: +7 Luck: +6
High Altitude
Suddenly Xith started keening, and a chill ran through I'llian's blood. That only meant one thing: a dragon pair had died. They couldn't focus on that, though -- to be distracted was death. Come on, beloved, he reassured his dragon. There will be time to mourn once 'Fall is over.
Turning his attention to a clump of Thread in front of them, Xith was abruptly pushed away from it by a gust of wind. With a snarl he blinked Between and back out again in an attempt to get closer -- but he ended up blinking right into the middle of the Thread! The blue shrieked and jumped Between again to kill the menace. That was too close!
Round 4: 1: A clump of Thread falls right before you! Unfortunately, the wind pushes you and the Thread away from one another. With determination, you fight the wind, trying valiantly to get to the great enemy! You hop Between, hoping to get closer, and flame the Threads that threaten to fall through! You Between right INTO the clump! Too close, too close!! Ouch! Damage is Moderate! -5 HP
They were back where they started, the higher altitude, the wind was even worse as the thread came down and the blonde rider hoped that the end of it all was near. A piece of the silvery mass was caught by the wind and blown into them sending the pain along D’mos’ leg before they moved in between.
Tsunami Wing Herg'r of Bronze Hyglath HP: 24/44 Status Effect: N/A XP: (+6 base; +5 to distribute) Target Accuracy: 6 Flame Length: 6 General Stamina: 8 General Agility: 6 Between Accuracy: 7 Pain Resilience: 7 Instinct: 6 Luck: 7
Whoa! Whoa! It was a good thing they were 'awake,' as Herg'r put it, as one of their wingmates came out of between flaming, and if Hyglath hadn't been unusually, amazingly quick about rolling out of the way, the bronze wouldn't have been just charred, but roasted! He made a very undignified sound in his surprise, a sort of honk that really did not suit the bulky dragon at all, and broadcast wordless alarm at the comrade who'd very nearly burned him.
