La Belle Isolde I don't want to go to work.... I start in an hour and fifteen minutes.
And pink is a very angry colour.-La Belle Isolde I find her font to be kind of aggressively pink. razz Rabidly pink, even. Angry, not so much. Are you working nights?

I'm working a closing shift (5 to midnight) tonight and on Wednesday. I leave for Calgary International Airport for summer vacation on Thursday and Tuesday I work noon to 7.-La Belle Isolde

La Belle Isolde PixiecuTT Anyone who works at a call center tends to have bitter feelings towards humanity in general, but I take calls for a particularly ugly corporation and our clients seem to be particularly stupid and self-obsessed. Doesn't Kals work at one of those?
I got laid off in October. Then they closed the call centre in May. This month they closed the other call centre that I used to work at.
I've never seen a call centre that DOES mind people wearing weird hair colours or facial piercings. As long as you don't come to work naked, they really don't care. At least not if it's a tech support call centre.

Ugh, no fun. I mean, I guess it's nice not to have to get up early.
I seriously need a new theme for my sig. =/ I'm so ******** sick of women's legs under my posts. Not to mention the creepy-a** PMs I get.
@ Kals: The one Pixie and I work at is great, and the last one I worked at was okay about it, too. But except for...2 other centers in town, the rest don't permit more than one facial piercing (if any) or any unnatural hair colours. None of them are tech support, though, it's all customer service.

Change it to Solid and Liquid Snake making out. Just because it would make you realise how uncreepy your PMs really are in comparison.
And I refuse to work before 10 am. Mostly because I HATE the breakfast customers. Closing shifts aren't bad when the people you work with actually attempt to get their closes done on time, but the teenage employees piss me off so much.-La Belle Isolde

Kals is questing again!Yeah they closed the downtown C-Farm last May and then they closed the Millwodds C-Farm this month in Edmonton. I heard the Red Deer one closed too. I guess the Americans are pulling out all their call centres form Canada because we're no longer "cheap labour" due to our relatively strong dollar and our rising cost of living. The high turnover rate of employees annoys them too, because no one likes to be treated like crap, even if they get paid better rates for it.
Also minimum wage is something like 8.40 or 8.50 an hour in Alberta now.-La Belle Isolde

Nope, but I believe it. My jerk of an ex got fired, even though he told him his immune system was crap and that when he got sick he needed extra time off because of his lack of a spleen. Then he got sick and was fired for insufficiently notifying them of his medical needs when he needed time off work - which was a load of crap. I heard it's not so bad if you manage to move up ranks though.-La Belle Isolde

Kals is questing again!Well in order to move up the ranks you have to have an immune system of steel, not be going to school ever, never have to take time off for a doctor's appointment or anything, never need to use the washroom except during your regularly scheduled breaks, suck up to the Filipino a*****e who doesn't know how to do your job, let alone his, be incompetent enough to match the expected metrics instead of having the much better metrics that it is possible to have but that make people think you're dumping calls, go drinking with managers, do sexual favours for HR people, and be popular.
