Pop in the US just tastes gross. The Coke tastes like Pepsi and the Pepsi tastes like carbonated water.

What's a fountain pop? The same as a soda, like coke or sprite in a bottle? Or are you refering to the soda fountains at fast food joints? Some are watered down, depending on where you go.

Ohh, "pop" is like a 70's word. I only drink Mountain Dew. I only resort to Coke or Pepsi when I have no other option.

Pop is a valid word, as it pops and fizzes. Don't be so anally European biggrin
Now if I was spelling things the American way then you could get on my case...
And yes, fountain pop means it comes out of the fountain instead of from a can or bottle.

Kals is questing again!Saying "soda" all the time is a pointedly United Statesian thing. Canadians almost never use that word unless we're referring to sodium bicarbonate. Just like how O'Henry is a chocolate bar, not a candy bar. I almost never hear anyone who is actually from Canada use the term candy bar.
Soda and candy bar are both terms that annoy the hell out of me. So is zee, for that matter. lol. Check sig for details!

I've never had a "pop" in my life. Except bubbles. And bubble wrap.
Soda, on the other hand...

I was born and raised on the word "Soda," so I cringe when I hear it being called "pop." IT'S JUST NOT RIGHT!! To me.
