I kind of wish my job only lasted a week.
Except that I'd be broke the rest of the year. And I couldn't deal with kids. =/

Doing the same thing or something different?
As a side note: Mmm, pizza that will probably make me sick because I bought it hours and hours ago...

Something different. I'm planning to get a front desk job at some somewhat-nice hotel here in my hometown, or being an entry-level web designer for some start-up in trendy uptown, or being a barista.
The barista thing will happen no matter what, but I'm hoping for one of the other two jobs to call me for an interview (and I'm still applying for other things).

@Ciel: Eh. If it ain't growin' green mold it's good to go.
@Lin: Your boss gave you a REPORTER? Seriously? They sell those things to people other than newspapers?

Yay for barista-ing. <3 Baristas make the coffee that keeps me happy.
I alternate between two kinds of jobs: pizzerias, and customer service. razz
Eien: It's not that old. I bought two slices on my way home from work at 4:30. I was full after one, so I kind of left the other sitting on my desk. It was wrapped in foil, and I just started eating it now. At 1am.

Eien: Reporter-Style Notepad, Eien. X3
Ciel: I like working in the coffee shop, though this'll be my first barista job. I think I'll enjoy it, and it's a nice little small-business cafe too so I won't be working for some odd corporate chain or anything.

As long as you don't become one of the baristas that gets all condescending when people don't know the difference between a latte and an espresso, then I shall be proud of you. =D
I like food service, except for the shitty pay. I wouldn't be working in a call centre if I could make the same money making pizzas.

I concur; I couldn't handle the type of people stress people experience in a call center and would prefer food service or hospitality over it.
And I don't get all condescending about it, Ciel, though I am a very picky espresso drinker *finds it hard to find a good espresso here, though his barista boss is pretty good*. Most places wait too long for my espresso and it gets cold... and tastes icky because of it. ;-;

Or they just give you caffeinated sludge in a teeny cup. =/ It's not supposed to be THAT thick, ugh.
Not all call-centres are bad. Just most. You learn not to take it personally. Out-bound would be a lot harder than what I do.
My friend was a telemarketer for Capital One. She's been called the worst things you could possibly imagine, and she had absolutely no control over who she called.

Oooouff... Yeah telemarketing is the roughest, that it is. I suppose one does deal with it eventually but it's still not very fulfilling to have people mad at you when you're working.
*Lin notes that that is a reason why he usually keeps talking and listening to telemarketers, even though he really just wants to hang up and watch the telly*
