"Well the Diethelmian people will be happy once I bring order about and have the stronger races rule over the weaker ones. Diethelmians will no longer have to fear the world trying to crush them while I am around. All this crime and corruption is because of outside influences trying to create disharmony within Diethelm. That announcement from those Helmshire cowards is proof of that. Well, you know what happens when you find cockroaches crawling around your home? You call in an exterminator" Damien said sheepishly to Shadow. He believed in every word he said.

"And I'm guessing you're that said exterminator." She sighed, lifting her hand and pushing back some of his falling hair behind his ear. She began to sit up and appeared to be adjusting her clothing when she purposefully triggered one of her gas grenades. Of course, this grenade released a silent, odorless gas that caused those around to go numb and fall asleep. Shadow had built up a good immunity to it, but it still affected her. She hoped it wouldn't come to that, but it did. 'Five minutes.' She thought, then took a deep breath, looking at Damien with half open eyes and an expression of sadness. "And in the end I'm just another pest. A wild rose trying to bloom in a field of tame flowers."

"Well I'm sorry it had to come to this. I was starting to like you. However, I have to put my ambitions before anything else. You are my enemy so you have to be eliminated" Damien said with a callous grin. He then yawned. "Whew, long day" he mumbled.

"I see... and I was really starting to like you too." She replied, leaning against the window and turning her head towards the sky outside, exposing her slim neck to Damien. 'Come on... fall asleep.' She thought. 'I know it has to be effecting all of you.' She thought, starting to feel the haze.

((Well he probably would have assumed that they were either connected to the rebels or part of some gang. Besides, it was a soldier that fired on them anyway, probably assuming the same thing. Damien never ordered anything, though he would have if the soldier hadn't already fired on them.))
Damien's eyelids began getting heavy. "Damn...must have overworked...myself again..." he muttered, before falling asleep. The soldiers followed not too long after. It took them slightly longer because they had stronger built bodies that the absolute leader. The driver was not affected because there was a window between the front part and the back part.

"Goodnight." She told him as all the soldiers in the back fell asleep. She took out a spy communicator and stuck it under the chair and waited. As soon as the driver stopped at a stoplight, she slipped out the door and bolted towards the sidewalk, wobbling back and forth as she did. "Zil, I know you can hear me because I turned the phone back on, and I know you've been tracking me. I think I took in a little too much of that sleeping gas."

"And now she speaks" Zil sighed and looked through one of his notes "Alright. Go to location 22 43 68. A drug ring hangout but they have an infirmary inside. It should be just across the street from your location. Look for the red doors. If the bouncer denies you entry, mention my name but I'm pretty sure you know these guys as well"
Monica calmed down a bit after receiving a text that the absolute leader was back in the limo with his catch and walked back to her limo to follow the car. The secret police followed as well.

"Yeah. I was headed that way anyway. Just listen. I left a tracking communication device under the seat. You should be able to catch him if you do it within the next ten minutes. He has a few soldiers in the back with him and they have weapons, but they should be out cold for now. Only the driver is awake. In case they wake up before you get them, monitor their conversation." She told him, finding the red doors as her vision began to blur. "I made it. Don't worry about me. With those new machines being made, this may be the last chance we have. Don't... don't waste it." She said weakly as she stumbled to the door. Luckily, the bouncer was there and recognized her.
"Shadow?" He asked.
"Sleeping gas... being chased... infirmary." She told him as she struggled to stay standing. He nodded and carried her behind the doors, locking them behind him.

"Ugh! My men didn't come back. Listen. Tell... Tell that bouncer the location. Ask if their men could detain the dude for a while. Don't worry. They're harsh and brutal. They'll get the job done. Tell them it's a favor for Zil. They owe me one... Well, a lot actually. I'll be there in a jiffy. Want me to bring you some energy drinks or something?" Zil said, as he contacted more rebels... The mercenary type that happened to still be in Diethelm but there were so few he could count them with his fingers but they should be good for the job too.

Shadow hung limply over the bouncer's shoulder as the communicator continued to go off. "Shadow's busy. Who is this?" The bouncer asked.

Damien flopped over in his sleep, hitting the switch that lowered the screen between the back and the front, causing the gas that didn't escape out the door to go up to the front and knock out the driver. He fell asleep with his face on the horn, causing a rather annoying honk that wouldn't stop. Monica would probably find them soon.

Shadow was also asleep and left on one of the infirmary beds. As she laid there, she was having a nightmare.
The twins continued to work on their device until finally, at long last, their device was completed. "Let's try it!" Vincent smiled.
"Yeah!" Valkyrie agreed.
"We'll have to keep it at a low frequency though, until we can get a good range. What do you want to test it on?"
"I donno... We've taken parts from just about everything already." Valkyrie sighed.
