Anyway, that's another thing to consider; if it was indeed some sort of security that could be easily cracked if the owner in question was dead, wouldn't it be meaningless at that point?
I mean, you're dead. As long as it was only your information, you wouldn't really be in any position to care.

Security solutions can be used by people who store other people's sensitive data.
One reason I'm working a bit on security is not only to secure my portfolios and digital documents (I pretty much archive digitally now to save on paper) but also because, if I start getting clients for web design in the possibly-near future I'd want to keep their data safe.

I say carry quite a few flash drives and use 28-bit encryption.

O.o Only (1)28-bit? My last flash drive (and now my hard disk) utilizes 2048-bit, with a maximum of 4096.
