Kerrigan: I only read them because I wanted to know what the fuss was about (and my biological father is a Tolkien freak and at the time I wanted to impress him. Sad.), and once I started, I figured I might as well read them all.
I liked the Hobbit a little bit more, but I didn't like Bilbo, so that kind of sucked.
I attempted the Silmarillion and nearly died. x_X I made it a few pages in, and that was it.
