Granted. You are pretty by the standards of the Western World. But then you are suddenly transported into the midst of a strange society with different culture and a vastly different opinion of what is 'pretty.'
So yeah. Long story short, to them you are not pretty (in fact, they find you hideous) and are subsequently outcasted.
