"Obviously." Fid sighed and moved in front of her, raising his hand to stop her. "You have a little bit of time to get out of here. Just listen. You know I am leaving now too. If you were paying attention, I think I mentioned that my human home would take you." He looked her in the eye, wanting to get all of this out of the way. "Also, you need to calm down."

"If you're leaving because I am, you should rethink your decision." Maya told him, seeming irritated that he now stood in her way. "And if the humans were intelligent, they'd send me on." She said. "I am calm. I don't know why you think I'm upset."

Fid shook his head. "Fine, If you don't want to come with me, don't. But I am going home, and they trust me more than superstition." He turned and left, agitated.

Maya smiled sadly once Fid was gone. Everyone was better off if they went on as if she didn't even exist. With Fid gone, Maya ran off into the forest. She'd stop sometime tomorrow in during the day, but she wanted to put as much distance between her and her family as possible.

Fid was packed in no time at all, digging up his little pouch of wealth. He made sure he had everything. Scimitars, armor, pouch, pack. Yup, all there. With a sigh, he left the Elves, not looking back for them, but for Maya.

By the time Maya had reached the border of the city, the sun had begun to rise. The drow didn't have anywhere dark to hide yet, and she didn't trust to rest out in the open, so she stayed off the main roads, traveling instead in the forest still, her cowl pulled low over her eyes. To say the morning light was bright was an understatement. It was blinding, and beating down on the dark creature. She liked the warmth, but the sun made her feel much weaker and she was having a hard time seeing for the moment.
By noon, Maya could go no further, feeling utterly exhausted from the sun's rays. She found a large tree and laid with her back against the trunk. All she would be able to do until night fell was rest and hope that no one would find her in those few hours. She didn't have to worry about drow during the day, but on the surface, all sorts of races and creatures thrived in the daylight.

"I see she didn't leave with you." The general muttered, watching as Fid walked by him, on his way out of the city.

Fid looked at the ground. "No. She left before me." He really didn't want to let his emotions out. Not in fromt of the General at least. He had enough things to worry about. "The fool Elders kicked her out. I understand why, but they are petty fears." He shook his head and turned to look at the General. "I suppose you already were told of my departure?"

"Probably was afraid of being close to anyone." He observed. "They may seem petty, but when those drow fall out of favor of their goddess, they'll do anything they can to get back in her favor." The general said with a shrug. "I was, I'll be sorry to see you go. I have a question though. Do you go because of the drow's banishing? Or your own accord?" He asked.

Fid began to move away, looking over his shoulder to answer. "Both. I wanted to protect her, and I wanted to go home. I miss the quiet life there. Just remember. When needed, the humans will come at a call." He sighed again and yawned. So much drama. It was wearing him out.

"I see..." The general murmured as he watched Fid leave. Once he was gone, he sighed and looked back at Authion, who was waiting silently. "You know what to do..." He said before walking away, letting Authion disappear. It would be for the best later on.

Fid walked down the road for a bit before whistling. The wolves' leader soon appeared and raised his head. Fid told him to find and follow Maya. If she didn't want Fid to travel with her, then he would have the wolf follow her. "And don't let on that I told you." It left and nodded, running through the trees to find her. Soon, he did.

Maya was still sleeping under the tree when Authion walked up. She was easy enough to track. She'd gotten careless about covering her tracks when the sun came up. As he walked up, Authion saw the drow weakly open her silver eyes to look up at him. He glared, but grabbed her by the throat, pulling her up to eye level. "I'd love to see you die, and the general says you would if you stay out here alone. However my orders are clear." He growled.
Taking a knife out, he stabbed her in the ribs, smirking slightly as he heard her scream. She was too weak to reach her weapons, so Authion took advantage of it, stabbing her one more time before letting her go and punching her hard before she fell, sending her flying into the river. "Too stubborn to listen. Well now you'll have no choice." He muttered as he watched the river begin to carry her downstream.
With his job done, Authion glanced to the wolf that had just run up and then shrugged, disappearing into the woods once more.

The wolf had saw everything. Growling, he watched as Authion vanished. He couldn't chase after him though. Fid would be furious if the drow died. Jumping into the river, the beast swam after Maya. Diving quickly, he ducked his head under her arm and swam towards the surface.

Maya had a hand clamped over one of the wounds, though the other was still bleeding pretty badly. She was hurt, and she was too weak to swim. When the wolf jumped in and got her under him, she held onto him with her free arm. It was probably sent by Fid, but at the moment, she was grateful for the wolf's presence.
