"You're the one that wanted to see a movie, silly goose." Riley said with a smile as he led Zach by the hand down the street to his house. "First you say you wanna see a movie, then you want me to stay in your bed. You need to make up your mind." he said as he released Zach's hand once they got to his house, his smile shrinking a bit as he opened the door. "Dad? You here?" he called as he went inside, letting Zach follow him in. The house was mostly pretty normal, though there were still a few scattered boxes here and there still needing to be unpacked.

A woman in jeans and a t-shirt and blond hair pulled back in a short ponytail emerged from the kitchen. "Riley, I wasn't expecting you back for a while. Your father actually went out to do some shopping; did you need something?"

"I was hoping to go to the movies with a friend, but I'm a little short on cash..." Riley said, averting his eyes from her while he compulsively tugged on the sleeve that covered his crystal.

The woman smiled. "That's great! I'm sure your father will be thrilled to know you're finally making some friends around here. You're so quiet all the time!" she said as she went to fetch her wallet and came back to hand him some money.

"Thanks, Becky." Riley said before promptly turning around and pulling Zach right back outside, ignoring Becky calling after him. 'I told you, you can call me mom now!' he heard from behind the door once he closed it behind him with a sigh.

((Finally caught up. And for the record Raptor, Scotts don't get me hot and bothered. XD ))

Will finished his visit to the optometrist and kept reaching up to touch his new glasses. Man, I miss having perfect vision. He thought with a sigh. On top of that he had nothing to do, no girls to flirt and/or make out with and no one he wanted to invite over to his house to play Xbox. "Man, the guys upstairs really shafted me when it comes to social skills, or maybe it's the fact that now my life has turned into Scribblenauts." He mumbled to himself and continued on down the street, noticing the firetrucks and firefighters in front of some burnt houses. Another fire eh? Will thought as he passed by.

Issac sat in his office, clacking away at his keyboard. He needed to find out more about his crystal and if there were others. This last question was easily answered by a series of news articles. People with extraordinary powers running around, a good portion of whom were causing considerable amounts of mayhem and destruction. "Hm, first step should be to find these people, second step would be to somehow get their crystals with the third and final step being world domination, for lack of a generic comic book term." Issac mumbled to himself. Of course, things would go a lot easier if there were others carrying out his plans, that way they would take his heat and the miraculously cured biologist could continue planning to take over the world like every other generic comic book villain.

Azhure shook her head at the red head and started off again. She didn't need things like that to bother her. She decided to go home and do anything but be outside. Maybe she'd hit that punching bag she was given from the Asylum for being there for two and a half years.

"Dad really likes her though, I don't want to give him any trouble..." Riley said before giving a frustrated sigh and burying his face in Zach's shoulder. "I love my parents but I can't stand the people they want to be with."

Riley smiled slightly. "You know what they say, misery loves company." he said giving Zach's arm a reassuring hug. "Things may suck, but at least we kindred spirits found each other."

Riley snapped his fingers. "Darn. I clearly need to work on my self-pity some more then." he joked. "I'll just have to settle for everywhere-else-kisses I suppose." he said returning the kiss on the cheek with one on Zach's cheek.
