Orders" The anbu captain would watch the congregation in silent contemplation. "Captain?" Bastet reached up to her mask, clicking at her ear with two fingers to trigger the communications. "Thoth, see if you can scope out the area below. Sobek, get in close and see if you can find anything above ground. I'll play face with the tag-along." The two did not disobey, nor did they protest, nor did they get into any farcical squabbles. Gone where the duo of goofballs who arrived with the captain; it was time to get serious
From his position, Thoth would meld into the ground, sinking lower and lower until he would arrive in the hopefully abandoned basement of some long-forgotten building. Sobek would begin stealthily maneuvering his way towards the rear of the amphitheater. Finally, Shion would remain with the congregation as they assumed their twisted metamorphosis. A shiver ran down her spine and her hands instinctively balled into fists. Please, please, please let this be just for show. The last thing she needed was a bunch of super-powered cultists running amok in the village.

While he didn't have what it took to discern it on his own, his intuition about there potentially being something beneath the podium was confirmed by Thoth. It seemed that the three of them had a way of communicating with one another. Oh well, if they had any need for him they'd reach out to him directly. Once Thoth used a technique to make his way underground, Raiju quickly decided to assist the group in the best way he could: Using shadow clones to assist each member of the group. His strength was the most valuable asset he could offer. Forming the seal for the jutsu, the swordsman brought three clones into existence. One remained near the amphitheater while the other shadowed Sobek to offer assistance if necessary. The last clone was used to try and confirm a harrowing suspicion he had ever since arriving at the Monsoon temples. He found it odd that other religions would have just stopped practicing because of the appearance of Jashinists. Unfortunately, he didn't find it odd to believe that the cultists could have threatened or harmed the other religious practitioners in any way. Even if they hadn't, it was good to get information from others who have investigated the group for more than just a few minutes. The clone made its way out of the temple to investigate the other ones for signs of foul play or to get more information from any religious practitioners that remained at their temples.
Raiju himself decided to pay the cultists a direct visit alongside Bastet. Nothing, however, could have prepared him to see dozens of people utilizing the unique transformation bestowed only to devout Jashinists. It made him sick to his stomach. All that life wasted just to fuel the devout beliefs of cultists. One thing confused him, though. He was always under the belief that the transformation could only be obtained and kept through the ritual sacrifice of humans, not animals. Blood tithes and animal killing, as far as he was concerned, was a spit in the face to a god who demanded no less than utter destruction. It was perplexing, to say the least. Regardless of how they obtained the state, it posed a serious threat.
Bastet was likely the more experienced of the two when it came to investigations so he'd follow her lead on how to handle the situation. They didn't have any evidence yet to incriminate any of them, and forcing the issue would reflect poorly on the village as a whole. He wanted answers just as badly as Bastet probably did, but nothing good would come from acting early.

The priest would exclaim as suddenly what would seem like a mosh pit ensued within the circle. The cultists weren't leaving instead it was turning into what appeared to be a blood bath among one another. If a comparison could be made it would be comparable to that one movie 'Fight Club' only with more stabbing. Even the old folks in attendance were going at it with the youths. The priest would look at those in attendance, only suddenly for any traces of the chakra creations or molding of chakra to cease functioning. "Im afraid things of the chakra nature you'll find will fail in our hallowed halls during the festivities. Only one's most primal bloodlust is welcome here." What appeared to be a man crazed approached the priest attempting to drive his pike into the man's shoulder only to be swiftly turned around and thrusted into the nearby wall where he was then preyed upon by others in a similar state of mind. He'd look to Shion and whomever else was 'the outsider' "I understand, you may be confused. You see, there is a liberation provided when one knows they cannot die. Something a freedom, the ability to let out one's aggression." A man would start to run towards the door high on adrenaline exclaiming he was going to get revenge on the yada yada cheating whore yada yada. However, in doing so the chapel rejected him as he banged on the invisible barrier irritated. "Of course we keep things contained within our little sect until the festivities have ended." Suddenly a loud 'DIE COP SCUM!' would ring as Shion would be the target of a haphazard attack. Dissaccociatingly did the priest himself chime in regardless of if Shion was injured by a nutter. "That aside, we work within the law, you're free to arrest that man for assaulting an officer but I will say the longer you stay the more accident-prone you become, after all, you, unfortunately, are not currently immortal.
Below ground, Thoth would be awarded with the scent of blood..lots of it. The area directly below the Amphitheater had a staircase. There must have been a secret passage of sorts assumed as the ceiling appeared as though it could move. A lever rested opposite of the end of the staircase implying likely this was how one got out after getting in. The floor like the cathedral appeared to be the extension of a large jashin symbol. Not unlike the above symbol within the cathedral. Likewise, in a similiar fashion when the 'festivities' began the symbol below did glow as well and likewise, any such molding of chakra or clones below would also vanish. Should the investigation continue, there would be visible cages stacked atop cages. However, they were currently empty. That aside the smell of blood intensified. The deeper one went. Finally, there appeared to be a door leading into another room. One incredibly conspicuous. If Thoth continued his investigation he'd find sitting on a throne of skulls and bones with a chalice collecting what appeared to be drops of blood from a pipe above them was a girl. Legs dangling off the side of the throne that just cocked her head at the sound of the door opening. If Thoth would attempt to make a report here...well...he'd have gone dark before finishing his first word whatever it was. Reason unknown.
Returning to the surface, a bell would ring, the madness concluded with utterances of disappointment. From the backroom, in the chapel four individuals wearing masks and white robes appeared. The symbol would cease its glow. "Gather all ye blood that's shed. Our festive time, we lay to bed." Despite everything that had just occurred the individuals what had just tore at each other not long ago were all on friendly terms again. Some helping pick up the severed limbs of the person whose limbs they themselves severed. The individuals clad in white would then begin reattaching parts and healing the participants all the while the priest looked down with a smile and then at the officers. "Mayhaps you've a piqued interest in our faith?"The Quest for information yielded as much as one could expect. Typically unsettled individuals and dismissal. Soraru's clone would gather that primarily the services they held were loud and obscene. Factions typically avoided association and tried to keep their distance. While the man in black was stated to be the one seen often entering the chapel on some odd occasion there'd be a young woman who'd enter alone on days where no service was being held. A woman in service to Evergreen simply stated in a rather maddened way that the girl had made a 'deal with the devil' a man chimed in who was sitting in one of the steeples. "Jashin, favors death, that is no mystery. The more strong souls condemned to his plane to do battle in endless bloodshed the better. Whatever this 'deal' was. I'm certain of one thing. It was a deal that would lead to even more deaths in Jashin's name than any one person could accomplish alone to satiate that demon god."
There'd be nothing to report on Sobek's end. Unless anything was tried in the amphitheater nothing would occur but Thoth could have very well informed that beneath the Amphitheater was the staircase dependent that is how deep he went before reporting in.

SHIONxxxxxMORI An assault on a ninja, even one of a lower caliber than Shion, was almost always doomed to fail. The wildly broadcasted, armature assault on Shion would be met with a swift pivot of her heels out of the way, and followed through by using the man's momentum to lift him into the air and onto his back. "All parties, report. Things are getting messy out here." Shion would command, giving a quick flick to the mic controls on the side of her mask. "Nothing to report here, boss. Seems like a pretty standard fair." Sobek responded. Not but a few seconds later, Thoth's voice came over the intercom. "Ma'am, there's something beneath the site. A tunnel and some stairs leading... well, I'm not sure. Its a pretty grim site." Shion gave a kick to the man attacking her's side as she reported. "Copy that. We'll be down there momentarily. Stay in position." The Anbu captain would then turn her attention to the priest, beckoning him over once more. "Well, seems like everything is up to code. I guess it's not really murder if no one dies from it. We'll just need to check out the area beneath the theater and we'll be on our way... if you dont mind."
Kojiro landed, emerging from seemingly nowhere. His form still illuminated the surrounding location. Light green luminous sparks kept the rocks that lead up the path to the temple brightly shining. His footsteps remained at a hasty pace as the firm clack clack clack of every step echoed in the landscape. He felt his heart race, the unbridled lightning that screamed to be released from his body, the heat of the late day on his face, the tension in the air that threatened to suffocate him. All these things weighed upon him as he moved forward. Reaching the Temple's summit he stood as the raven sky above him set the mood.
Kojiro closed his eyes, he had no time to waste searching. Green leylines of chakra began to form on Kojiro's flesh, making lines that originated from his abdomen and spanned out to each limb, his face bearing two green leylines charged with lightning that moved vertically up the face and crossing the eyes. Lightning crackled from his eyes, masking the colors and hues othewise visible. His attunement to nature, to lightning would flow from every fiber of his being. From his location he could sense anything...everything within the temple...

Selina's plea to bring her back safely echoed through Kenshin over and over. Half the resource cost of techniques from the rapier style of Sen Gekiretsu Nagareboshi applied allows the technique to carry the tenketsu sealing effects of a same-rank palm strike such as a B-Rank carrying 64 Palms effects. Getsuruito must be in its rapier form to use this ability and 5 chakra can be spent upon activation of this technique to transform it as such. The Righteous Sword of the Sentinel technique has a 10 post duration before necessitating re-activation and costs an E-Rank amount of chakra. The initial activation of this technique consumes an action but all subsidiary abilities of the technique do not.
Smiting Blade of the Night Watch [ Naitō Otchi no Sumittinguburēdo ] | Rank X | Bukijutsu [ Lightning ] | Spiritual When this technique is activated it crackles violently with night blue lightning for the entire duration. The electricity from the blade also forms bolts of lightning over the body of the user and appears to supercharge them. Whenever the blade is swung or thrust over the duration the user can fire a concentrated blast of ten bolts of lightning to accompany the strike equal to the rank applied but for only half the cost to initiate the technique. Hatake, Raiu, and Sage enhanced lightning can pass through the blade and apply to these lightning bolts. The bolts cause a thunderously deafening sonic boom and can inflict tier 2 burns upon direct contact with the lightning. Additionally, these lightning bolts can be freely applied to all complex bukijutsu for no action cost to smite enemies. The only action cost is when the technique is activated and all subsidiary abilities of the technique do not consume actions and only chakra. This ability can be used in both forms of Getsuruito.
Draconic Sabre of Moon Sundering [ Getsu Sandaringu no Dorakonikku Seibā ] | Rank X | Bukijutsu [ Lightning ] | Complex This is the original ability of the ancient Getsuruito blade and thus requires the original katana form. 5 chakra can be spent to transform the blade to its original form upon activation of this technique. Crackling and thunderous dark blue lightning can be applied to the katana's edge at any rank and the same lightning can form a dragon head formed from electricity over the body of the user for 10 posts. This allows all spiritual techniques the sword comes into contact with to be slashed through and even cut in half at the same rank despite the complex nature of the technique. For half of the original cost to activate the technique a same-rank spiritual electrical energy slash can be sent out from the slash of the blade. The two APD officers had no problem locating Celene. Although there were various tunnels and passageways immune from the peering eyes of sensory, the two were able to use the context clues to find the exact location of the girl. Upon discovering her in a cold, hollowed section of the mountain pass, the girl appeared unharmed, but visibly frightened. Sobbing eyes locked between the two men as she reached forward and grabbed onto Kojiro. She cried her eyes out as her throat released all of the tension and fear she felt. Both of their sensory abilities would easily be able to tell that this was the real Celene.

Kojiro's senses penetrated the nooks and crannies of the temple and combined with physical search would shortly detect Celene's location. As he moved toward her he would try to detect any other signs of life....but none were present. It seemed that Celene was indeed herself and was alone here. As she came into sight, Kojiro's emerald ley lines of nature energy would fade away as the lightning armor he wore crackled slowly and dimmed until all transformations were gone. No sooner than this was done did Celene leap to his arms. Kojiro wrapped the girl's upper body with his right hand after sheathing his blades. He remained slightly off center of her as he looked at the temple in a shocked daze. His exhaled. " It's over..." he said aloud as he thought that it was simply over for now...
Kojiro would allow the squad of officers that arrived behind him to escort Celene to safety and for questioning. Kojiro was resolute that the girl had been given some clue as to what was to come...he would never believe that this madness was over. Not by a long shot. Kojiro sighed heavily, attempting to bury his anxiety over this encounter...but deep down he was felt that several questions were left unanswered. With a heavy conscience he would head back to the APD.

What practices exactly were taboo in the cloudy realm of Arashigakure?
Isao's departure from the massive bat landed him in the village's headquarters for spiritual affairs. Meditation. A mountain cavern with weaving walkways connecting the temples. The job was to create an uproar, yes? The caverns were addressed individually with the first space with inhabitants droning steady prayers and sound would have been music to his ears, that is, if it wasn't to the wrong deity. These were monks in robes and he couldn't dare kill them. Killing clergy members was a sin even for Jashin. Their fate was not Isao's to decide. The chanting, however, still had to stop so long the fallen monk would carouse the Monsoon temples. Witnesses would hamper his progress and his first victims were sent to sleep in a touch. Isao’s venture onward along the winding paths would interrupt the busy faithful amidst practice.
Removing the horned band was all Isao needed to force distracted on-lookers to meet his gaze and sucking them into a wild head tip with a vivid nightmare. The monk calling prayers aloud for forgiveness to his “lord” the first instance of drawing his weapon. After all, he chose a questionable location where he had to pretty much screen his sacrifices. On the same breath, the monk implores for his kills be "pleasing" all the same. The world encapsulating his victims was darkness were disrupted, one by one, with a generous, lengthy drive into the core of his victims. Their nightmares breaking for another tormenting reality with the last words from Iaso was his mantra for the Inshou mindset. Tasting the mix of ferrous, sanguine juices from his blade when all was said and done made his twisted black and whites more than just delicate face paint.
Isao was certain to replace the horned band over his forehead to disguise his third eye. The monk stands over his success and slips into a prayer. The handles of his blades were balanced between his hands.

These chains are drawn to all of the weapons and armor in the area, both exposed ninja tools and ninja tools in pouches. These chains can phase through physical objects to make contact with weapons in the most direct manner as possible. Once the chains are made, which is done nearly instantly, the chains all return to the user, and all of the equipment is sealed within a vacant scroll of the user. If the user has no vacant scrolls then this technique just brings all of the items to the user's feet. The opponent may counter their weapons being sealed by paying an S-ranked amount of chakra to negate the chains for an activation.
Their foot tapped ever so slightly annoyed as they awaited Kaito outside of the temple. Avalanche was not one to suffer the illusion of religion, as anyone who needed the prayers of others for existence clearly had no merit to exist in the first place. However, it was one of Kaito's few flaws which kept them having to wait outside like a puppy not allowed into a restaurant. Today was particularly tiring, as his partner seemed to take a longer time with his prayers than usual. Avalanche was about to go inside when he heard Kaito's heart aching shout calling something a monster. "Kaito." They said it as softly as a whisper, but with enough weight to move a mountain. Their body darted through ice and suddenly appeared beside their fellow vigilante. They noticed the chains forming and used one handseal to summon forth a plethora of mirrors around the fiend. As soon as Kaito relayed his threat, Avalanche's vision disappeared from their friend's side, and the image appeared in all of the mirrors surrounding the monster. "Nor am I." They echoed through all mirrors with fervent fury. It was then that Avalanche dashed from one mirror to the next, slicing and dicing the hopefully chained foe. Even if it escaped the chains it would have to deal with the fury of the vigilante whose sole focus was protecting Kaito.

“You’re a monster!” Kaito’s insult was enough to turn heads. Glorious chains fastening around his body lifted the handles between his adjoined hands in prayer. The monk shifted his attention to Kaito with a brow arched. He offered one mildly unimpressed stare to the young man. His empty hands were crammed awkwardly under his neck with the chains binding him in place. Interrupting prayer with one glaring tease for fun and games in chains was testing his patience. The Storm-dweller apparently couldn’t wait. Chains wasn’t the end of it either. Then a second dedicated, costumed vigilante appeared and spawned frigid panes around him. It was a sight. The storm giving him the excitement to fill in the disappointment of passing up the “problem children” in the Spire.
The two vigilantes put on a splendid act of coordination and viciously, produced brilliant results on the monster monk. The masked vigilante’s skills were impeccable and the frail monk couldn’t match. Each fresh slice of Avalanche’s blade gliding over and into Isao’s sleeves, his torso, legs, and meeting the contours of his cheek made their mark. The pain was excruciating and even shook him some. He didn’t expect to be caught so soon by two so skilled. Two who were already so delightful. Isao’s chest jolted with a sharp intake of breath. Again. Another breath shook his bloodied body. His white clothes began to turn a shade of a rich, rugged red-pink. It was a laugh. A horrendous, laugh echoing and shrieking louder through the caverns. The monk’s laugh became wild and erratic before it trickled down in an ecstatic sigh.
“Ooooh. Ah.. Well done, well done! I’ll even relish in the sting for you. But, you know, you’re attacking me in a holy place. I’m worshipping! My devotion asks this of me. What if you were tending to a little garden here, to honor that good little Evergreen woman, and someone kicked dirt in your eyes?” The monk grumbles and assumes the petty role of a victim writhing in his chains. His energy gaining a steady flow in his words. “Take a step back and look at your cruelty from my perspective,” [▰ Mask of Cruelty [ Reikoku no Fukumen Rank: S] He says, adding a certain emphasis upon his claims of cruelty. Isao curls his lips into a smirk, snorts, and swivels his neck for a look-see over Avalanches’s numerous icy mirrors. His neck finally slumps over for another review of his illustrious bindings. “Hmm. Pretty. Sincerely.” He spoke without much delay and jerked his palms together for a succession of hand seals. “A little unfair if you’re set on disarming me, however.”
The pastel tones in his eyes redden and glow briefly as a white, hazy glow manifests around them [▰ Null Domain [ Kūhaku Kuiki ] | Rank S]. A wide, ethereal cubic enclosure was defining an insecure area for the Vigilantes' innate abilities. Isao, too, was losing something vital to his being with his technique but his bindings and the mirrors were surely due for crumbling. His chain sickle weapon was sure to return, at least. Free of his bounds, Isao instead held his arm out for a scroll to slide from his bloodied sleeve. Bards are known as masters of their voices. While singers are considered bards they are far from the only type of bard. Bards use their voices in various ways, storytelling, poetry, beatboxing, even just speaking in some cases. Their words or the sounds they make with their voice carry weight with them. Bards and Instrumentalists are extremely similar in that they both use sound.
• Upon reaching the Virtuoso Title, Bards become capable of shortening their performances into very simple and almost non-performance. Allowing them to speak simply and plainly should they wish or simply make noises akin to what they want to do to use jutsu from their spoken word. The time for jutsu to form is still the same amount of time for doing hand seals.

Much unlike other Genjutsu, this one affects an opponent’s mind very differently in that it causes hallucinations based on situation. Quite unique in this respect, it makes it so that every time the afflicted were to cause harm to another person, they would envision themselves being harmed instead. For example, an opponent making a lunge at the user would cause the afflicted to envision themselves in their place; visions of masochism, as it were. There have been stories of people too afraid to make any offensive attempts after being placed under this Genjutsu, unable to either defend or attack their opponents out of utter fear. As far as explaining the actual Genjutsu, it’s quite simple. In the above example, the person under the effect of this Genjutsu will always picture and ‘feel’ that they are dealing themselves some sort of pain. Any option Isao could have had to panic was pointless. He could, however, grit his teeth over being blinded in addition to disrupting his own resources. It was becoming difficult to even think about celebrating how he shut off the chains, ice, and learned a thing or two about his opponents. The last thing he could recall was the treacherous fog spilling and Avalanche overcoming his illusion. After taking the first horrific onslaught the thought of pitting himself into an even deeper disadvantage sways the monk to throw his arms outward. The quick clattering-clack of his sickle's chains lining up were the only sure-fire thing he could make sense of. Isao held his chains tightly before his form in an effort to withstand Avalanche's triple barrage [▰Basic weapon block S+ Stamina]. His arms already quivering from the stress and exerting so much of himself.
He wouldn't let himself file out looking as the weakest of Inshou. When the timing granted him a slight opening, Isao held fast on his chains and dipped his body low for a fierce kick forward.
