Well this is just ridiculous. Haezeth thought at both himself and his rider as his tongue was bitten once more. He would need to be more careful, or maybe in less of a rush, but he went sailing towards another patch and flamed it down all the same.

With her wings still a little bit worn out, exhaustion just at the edge of her being, Sarbath was getting tilted and knocked around all over the place. Her determination hadn't faltered in the least bit though and she was still searing thread all around her in waves. As was her luck she was blown straight into a small clump, but she was able to at least make sure that Liaven wasn't in any danger.

Liaven was the one that noticed the sheet of thread blowing towards them, his general attentiveness saving them once more as the popped between and up above it all. Still the little green rumbled and made a hiss noise about how it was falling, making it look as though she'd been foolish and missed it.

Her redemption came rather quickly in the form of some errant clumps, flaming them down with ease before twisting back to her position again. None of those would get down below onto the dragons working there!

Or so she'd thought, pain snipped at one of her sails and sent her between to freeze it off, Liaven already taking mental notes of where he'd have to look her over after it was over and their time would be coming to an end soon.

The rest was just a push, an almost mindless one as they fought against the tide of thread for the last hour that they would be up. Sarbath wheeled through the winds and thermals like it was what she was meant to do, taking some damage but only minimal in comparison. They had gotten lucky on this day.

Roll: 5 - Wheeling, flaming, catching thermals, fighting wind.... Threadfall is nothing if not exhausting. Greens, and blues find themselves panting with exhaustion. This is more tiring than they thought. Trying to come up from a dive, they struggle on wing and wind up getting blown right into some thread. Ouch! It was only the green’s warning cry that saved them, really. The edge of a gust of wind must have hit the green first, but the blue wisely took it into account now when he jumped between, turning to see the spot he would have exited at before—now full of thread. Thank you, my lady, for the warning! My rider and I owe our hides to you, it seems, he sent back to her.
The wind is rough, but you and your dragon are managing. You get a breather as your dragon flies into a small break of Threadfall. The upper altitudes must be doing a good job sweeping up!
Things were feeling lighter - perhaps a little easier - for a few moments. Cubath took the brief break to rest her wings while Xela searched below to see how Cortun and Menyherth seemed to be doing.
Awfully, it seems. Just horrid. It was meant to be lovingly teasing, but all it did was worry Xela more.
You appear from Between and find the space you were hoping would be clear now has a large sheet of Thread being guested towards it. You've only a moment to decide where to go, and both you and your dragon pick a spot and hop Between in an attempt to avoid Thread. Roll a D4 and take whatever damage or XP you're given!
We have to move again! Xela quickly looked around to try and pick out a spot and they jumped.

You critically fail! You either appear between directly in the clump of Thread and take Major Damage for -8 HP =or= you could wind up getting lost Between, and die, having not properly visualized where to jump. Death -- optional.
They jumped too fast and while they came out without problem - Xela would have never purposely led Cubath into danger, after all - they were met with unexpected pain and blinked away again.
Flaming down Thread, you find yourself getting blown right into the cloud of ash! It stings and burns, but you're pretty sure no Thread was alive in the cloud. [If a green, or blue take Moderate Damage -5HP but gain +2 Pain Resistance.]
It was one catastrophic failure after another, it seemed. While Cubath was still well enough to flame and fight, after their rough Betweening, the two now had to grapple with ash and both green and rider were sore.

Stubbornness had a way of making them push themselves - and Hrimnith didn't notice his need to catch his breath until it was too late and pain radiated through them both.
Are you feeling lucky? Well you should! Free reply! Respond to this post with any action pertaining to Threadfall, and gain a little luck. [+1 Luck]
There will be time to think of them later, Hrimnith noted idly to Karinne as she took a moment to look up at the wing above them, trying her best to not feel worry. They were capable - they'd be fine.

Tit for tat seemed to be the rhythm now. Just as they had been saved by a wingmate’s intervention, now it was the blue’s turn to espy an ally in danger. With a quick wink they hopped between, reappearing, already flaming, to destroy the threatening thread. With a proud huff they blinked back into position, thrumming and pleased with themselves.
