It was amusing to see the reaction to Kenshin's presence, but she supposed he really had made a name for himself above and beyond Captain of the Arashigakure Police Department. She rubbed at her face stitches to cover her smile at the interaction, though she quickly sobered when she heard that they'd just missed the Hokage. "Byakko isn't going to hurt anyone in Konoha, right?" Kenshin would know the jinchuuriki better than Kameyo, who'd just learned of him a few days prior.
Though it was a little belated and not so interesting to the guards, she recalled the need to introduce herself. "Kameyo, Advisor of the Arashikage. Here to assist with the safety of the Gyuki in a seal-based transfer ceremony. Frequent flyer here in the name of dango," she added pleasantly, hoping to continue to diffuse any tension, even though the guards seemed to be alright with their presence.

Byakko and Sadayo were stopped when Kenshin and Kameyo arrived at the gates. Damn, he hoped he had more time to negotiate the danger of the situation to the current Hokage. When the two expressed their positions and Kenshin gave the vague threat about keeping peace between their nations, the former god could not help but to sneer. 'It's a bluff. There's no way that he would truly fight the village for the sake of Evergreen. He may be a zealot, but he's not a lunatic.' He thought. That's when a light bulb went off in his mind. To answer Sadayo's question about what she wanted from him, Byakko turned and nodded. "I need you to play along. Do so, and you'll have me for whatever you want." He said as he took a deep breath and went back toward the gates to deal with Kenshin and Kameyo.
Confidence shined on his face as the tiger circled around his feet. "Kenshin, Kameyo." He said with a polite bow of his head to both. His arms were folded as he wanted to portray a sense of power. "Konoha has welcomed me into the village, and as such this will be where we perform this ritual. After all, all you want is the demon, correct? You will do it here, and then we will all watch this purification good ole Evergreen suggested. And if you do backstab this village and destroy the demon, then you will have the entirety of Konoha raging against you and your village. And I'm sure you don't want to do that, right?" A bluff for a bluff, as one conman to the next. He knew that he was in a losing position, but not even Kenshin would dare to make a war between the two nations over the whims of Evergreen. Therefore, this was his moment to either prove his honesty, or to admit that he's just another tool of Evergreen and flee.
▱▰▱Kenshin nodded to the guards before stepping into the gates of the New Konohagakure for the first time in his life. He tended to prefer staying in his home village and empire over the years and still felt uncomfortable traveling. Especially for such sensitive business as he was undertaking now. "If he tries then we'll help stop him." Kenshin responded to Kameyo firmly and confidently despite being irritated by Byakko's running tactics. When he approached the woman who matched the description of the hokage from the gate guards he bowed deeply and respectfully. When Byakko began speaking to him he listened but placed a hand up in an effort to hush the rogue once he finished his bluff. "Lady Hokage, it's an honor to meet you. I'm Kenshin Hyuga, Lord of the mighty Pale Citadel and sannin of Arashigakure." Ever stoic, Kenshin had become far more skilled in the art of diplomacy after Ada's steadfast conditioning of him into his role as a lord in the Lightning Empire. The Hyuga patriarch was polite but also proud of his home. When Kenshin stood up fully he continued facing away and seemingly ignoring Byakko despite listening intently to his suggestion. "Lady Kameyo and I are here to see the hachibi returned to Arashigakure's possession. It belonged to our Arashikages and I'd like to avoid any tensions between our villages arising from the Leaf keeping the creature while it still maintains the kyuubi, if I'm not mistaken." He opened with this piece of information given that it was standard and to be expected in diplomatic discussions. However, this aspect was the least of all of the worries of squabbling nations in comparison to the threat that was looming. "Beyond this, Jashin has direct influence over the nine demons. Surely you remember the black Sun? When that occurred the god Utu died and Jashin is devouring his universe as we speak. Our world might fall to the same fate if he's able to keep control over the demons. I'm one of the few human sages in the world who can purify the demon's chakra. This shouldn't kill or harm the beast but it'll give me the opportunity to cleanse the rest of the demons and keep Jashin out of our world. If you know my name then you must know that I'm not prone to flights of fancy. I'm giving the news to you plainly and I seek your cooperation." Kenshin spoke honestly and allowed his blowing night blue gaze of floral pupils to maintain earnest eye contact with the hokage. "Please pardon me if I don't trust the word of a rogue. However, I will follow your word when I'm in your village, Lady Hokage. As long as the demon is safely transferred then I'll do my duty." In other words, Kenshin agreed with Byakko's proposal but he wanted to ensure that the terms were clear.

Byakko’s reply frankly actually wasn’t at all she anticipated. Pushing off from the light pole, Sadayo drops her hands and retire them back under her cloak, “fine, fine.” Her reply came quickly now but not without a sinking feeling in her chest tip-toeing along dread.
Aa the guards described eagerly, Sadayo was the figure in the yellow "get-up" and big hair. All now that was left was the new token sound of a foreigner addressing her “hokage. The odds were dwindling against her in hopes of hearing the word “director” anymore among the masses. At least the rogue Tiger was given a blatant rundown of just who was in charge now. Despite her status, Sadayo wouldn’t have recognized Kenshin if he hadn’t introduced himself. Unlike Kameyo, whom Sadayo was certainly able recall present on the little island back meet-up then.
Closely watching the exchange among Byakko and the Storm agents. The stoic pretty boy with a sword at his hip, and eyes glowing famously dismissing the Tiger. The young lady with him seeming less ominous but if the duo sent Byakko running here there was no room for underestimating anyone.
"You brought my deviant home?" The agents displaying their respect to the title over her head was a plus. 'Likewise. Two pestigous visitors don't arrive everyday."
So the relay of information began. Even though Sadayo had her own string of questions forming to piece together how one beast made its way to another from someone else's perspective she could only hold her tongue. It would have been hard to ask, however, as long as a pair of powdery mythic eyes were glowing back at her.
“Yes. The nine-tails is still tied up with Evergreen’s less problematic son.” Given Kurama’s host had some renown fame and even so among the religious crowd, it was safe to assume his wealth of brute power was common knowledge even on the other end of the continent. " I gave the Storm shadow a file on the host, Masato." A file still haunting her to this day. She dodged mentioning a note of the incomplete, revised edition. The original copy was apparently lacking just enough intellectual goodies to make the wholeheartedly laugh at her sleuthing skills. Kenshin's lengthy disclosure and mention of the black Sun had hardened her expression back to a stare devoid of her biase and concern, noting anything Evergreen. Her first comment officially acknowledging the window of darkness was dry as if compelled to share, "I dropped a lid on the hope of one wild 'Janshin' fanatic. They sought to attack a girl as the light was coming back." An uneasy thought crossed her as she said it as she was trying to recall if Kenshin was present that day! Yes. I did that. It happened. If I inconvenienced you at least you survived! Sadayo was making a fine first impression as leader of the Leaf!
Following up on her unease, Sadayo continues with the stoic, regal air she wanted foreigners to think of her with (a few steps up from being dry and unapproachable) “'I'll cooperate," her sights flickering toward Byakko and back to Kenshin. Noting whatever they accomplish on the eight-tails would back right back to eventually reach the nine-tails. What Evergreen's plans had in store with whatever feelings she might have about one of her own dealing with a dose of demon and darkness was another weight; the possibilities matter so much to the Hokage for one reason or another. If what Byakko experienced at Her hand had any merit at what She could do to others.
"I will select a remote zone in the Leaf to give you adequate space to handle the-uhm" She began swapping her fingers amidst searching for the correct word until brushing off her vocabulary. Ritual? Process? I've only seen a beast taken care of once."
Aa for the agents at Sadayo's side, the woman turns her head to address the pair. She dismisses them with a sturdy, standing order. "Go to the police and issue the order to move the civilian population off the streets and ensure their safety until the Storm has finished. I want defensive fortifications to withstand whatever the beast has in the event of something going wrong."The agents depart promptly.
"Precautions," she drones the statement returning her sights on Kenshin's unusual eyes. "I have one more question, Lord Hyūga. Please pardon me of too much scrutiny. My lline of work has always focused on intelligence." She pauses only to briefly consider her wording to avoid sounding as skeptical as Byakko. ""Is the goddess apart of this? Beyond a demigod sacrificing himself and averting my village from a total panic, I think She has successfully kept her wild, dwelling mountain child out of the equation. In this one slight remark, Sadayo faintly curls her mouth into a smile like she just loving being able to talk up the host's status as a mountain hermit running around on his own accord. "My point is that he'll appreciate someone to tell him that his kindly old mother is up to something without having to cross borders."
Kameyo was grateful for Kenshin's resolute and stoic demeanor in the face of diplomatic dealings; they always had and always would make her nervous. She did a poor job covering her fidgeting as she listened to Byakko and Kenshin speak in front of and to the Hokage. "We would not harm Konoha in any way, shape, or form," she assured in response to Byakko's bluff and in addition to Kenshin's own assurance.
"Yes, space would be good. It's a little less of a ritual and more of the quickest series of seals that I can manage, though it'll be inevitable that the demon will experience a period of being under no one's influence at all before I can re-seal Gyuki into Kenshin here. To that degree, we'll do our best to take advantage of the wide berth you'll give us, as well as to take necessary precautions in securing the environment." She wasn't sure what area would be deemed appropriate for this demon sealing, but she suspected it would be a spot with few people so as to minimize potential damage.

He'd been doing his best to avoid interacting with the affairs of the village recently. He'd been secluded in the mountains training since his most recent student had left his tutelage and moved out into the world. For all intents and purposes, it seemed the world was spinning without him and that wasn't a bad thing. He hid within the nearby forest of trees, perched upon the overhanging branch near the hidden entry of the gates, watching those moving to and from the location with no real worries. However, the some time before the knock came, Masato would detect the man who once sought him out for this affiliation with Evergreen, the host of yet another tailed beast, Byakko. The pace that he'd been moving towards the village was indicative of concern, not to mention the fast moving agents who trailed him. This is what gave him more worry.
Masato would silently move internally to Kurama's realm within himself. " It's him..." he murmured to Kurama. " Ma's Champion, the one that helped take down Sanda." The dormant fox stirred. " You looking to fight?" He growled lazily, having become somewhat sedentary as of late. Masato scoffed at him. " Why? You afraid of the exercise?" Within the Uchiha's inner world the fox glared with one eye towards Masato's manifested form. Before he could say anything else, Masato shook his head. " Nah, from his reputation he's not one to start trouble, and if he's chased that damned tiger all the way here it's something worth hearing." Kurama snickered. " How the times have changed, Fool."
Then came the knock. Byakko pleading for the village's assistance. Masato frowned, his Byakusharingan awakening as it detected the chakra and chakra networks of those within sight. Close on the heels of the tiger was Kenshin Hyuuga, regal as ever. He appeared to carry himself with more...authority than he did several years ago, he'd seemingly matured further. However, just from the brief interaction his temper had seemed to cool. The fox was right, how the times had changed. His calm statement despite Byakko's claims to kill the demon, or purify him had Masato's attention as he continued to lounge on a nearby tree, sure that Kenshin had taken note of him by now with his own Byakugan, although his unknown company seemed meek, Masato's eyes warned him not to misjudge her.
It was roughly that time Sadayo had finally arrived. It was about to get more interesting. Masato kept listening more closely as Kenshin spoke of returning the beast to Arashigakure. Spoke of tensions between villages. Then he brought up Jashin. A burning sensation filled his stomach as Kurama seemed to become restless within him. Internally once more, Masato spoke to Kurama. " Whiskers, you're bound to another god?" He asked cautiously. Kurama's fangs were exposed, sneering as he grimaced with hatred that was palpable within the Taijutsu Master. " If I'm a demon, he's the devil." Kurama shot back. " On more than one occasion I've been manipulated by him in the past." Kurama let memories of his past flood into Masato. Images of mass destruction and chaos. Annihilation of entire civilizations, his power being given to those who would tip the scales in Jashin's favor. The silent manipulator who loomed in the distance, awaiting his opportunity to seize the world for his own.
Cutting from his inner world and allowing his sharingan to rest, Masato would leap down and make himself known to the rest of the shinobi just as Sadayo suggested someone alert Masato to what was going on. He landed, light, silently, a stark difference from his movements from some years prior. He'd learned to handle himself with finesse and skill atop his brute strength now. He landed between Kenshin and Sadayo, body toward Kenshin. Slowly his head tilted back towards Sadayo with a light scowl. " Less problematic, huh?" He jested before turning back towards Kenshin. " Lord Hyuuga now? Seems you've been made legitimate since last we met." In a rare chance to display his civility, he would act, extending his right hand to shake Kenshin's.
Assuming that the gesture was met in kind, Masato would speak again. " I'm very interested in what's been going on with Jashin. Not too many that'll be willing to go up to bat against a god. More importantly though, if you can free Kurama from him, tell me what to do." From the inner world Masato held Kurama in, the fox would sit in silence, reminded of the hidden kindness the ogre of a man held.
▱▰▱The Hyuga patriarch was relieved that Sadayo was willing to cooperate in this effort. Kenshin was always a lone wolf operative but he was compelled to step out of his comfort zone for this cosmic-scale quest. It was going to take the combined efforts of everyone on Earth to keep Jashin out of their realm. "Yes, she gave me the information I needed for the looming Jashin threat." Kenshin responded neutrally despite Sadayo's pointed concern regarding Masato's involvement. He was uncertain what Masato's role was but he maintained his focus on the man from a distance using his expanded vision from his active tenseigan. Kenshin then nodded to support Kameyo's statements about the sealing procedure. "If it goes according to plan then the seals would simply result in the transfer of the demon's chakra without the hachibi getting loose. Yet precautions must also be taken and Lady Kameyo needs support for the procedure." He would have continued this train of thought if not for Masato's arrival. When Masato extended his hand Kenshin would return his handshake firmly. The tenseigan sage bowed his head briefly but respectfully after shaking Masato's hand. "Yes, Lord Hajime Hyuga legitimized me and I have the honor of holding the title of patriarch of the Hyuga clan in the Lightning Empire." He wanted to get Masato up to speed and briefly address his observation of Kenshin's new title. "Essentially Jashin is attempting to take control of the bijuu to destroy his opposition on Earth before fighting Evergreen and devouring our universe. We'll need to use the powers of a human sage with the demonic chakra to prevent Jashin from taking control of them." Kenshin was resolute in his goal and wanted to keep his explanation brief as time was of the essence. "I'll purify the nine tails within you once I have control of the hachibi. That may take a long time so while I'm training it may be prudent for me to assemble a task force to prepare the world for what may happen. It shouldn't harm the bijuu in any way." The Arashigakure sannin gave more information on what was to come. He had to assemble his plans quickly while also being carefully organized given how delicate the matter at hand was. A cigarette blazed between his lips while the grown ups did their talking. Kenshin's attention was focused on Sadayo, and everyone's dialogued seemed to go by well enough without him. He preferred that, since it meant that other people were doing the heavy lifting. Byakko was a man without too many ambitions left to his name, but the one duty he would die fulfilling is the protection of Gyuki. The demon was burdened with an extraordinarily harsh fate, and as one failed god to one failed demon he felt a deep kindred with him. The tiger howled fiercely as Masato arrived. Evergreen's divine scent lingered heavily on the man who was born from her womb. Byakko once thought about hating the man until he learned that he too has also killed the goddess. That blossomed into a fond appreciation for him, but even that died out into moderate contempt. As fascinating as it was that he killed a god, Masato's narrative was still deeply interwoven with hers. His destiny was just as bound to Evergreen as Kenshin's, even if the two would forever be on opposite ends of the debate.
Speaking of Kenshin, the boy scout relayed everything he said to Byakko at the temple to the people, with more details involving Jashin. This related to the comment made about the red moon, although truth be told Byakko did not care too much for any of it. If Jashin wanted this world then he could have it. This world was brutal, cold, and unforgiving. It took everything he loved and left him hollow and hateful. At the same time, even in his apathy could he not justify Jashin. The fact that he would use Gyuki, a demon who has not wanted any of the horrors inflicted upon him, to be his vessel for further chaos could not be tolerated. It was for that reason that, with eyes locked into Kenshin's pale hues, the man puffed his cigarette with a nod. "Ready as I'll ever be." He said solemnly.

The Hyūga noble continuing with details regarding precautions and support for Lady Kameyo which easily brought to mind another question to ask before she could escort the group. Yet, just as Kenshin's train of thought was derailed the opprotunity for Sadayo to pose her question was similiarly delayed. Her shoulders jerk. Sadayo was rightfully startled with the very recent, unresolved events of infiltrators still on her mind. Her trio of ponytails lurching in unison at sight of a familiar mass of muscle and hair suddenly wedging itself in her way. Masato must get a kick of her not having any deluxe sensory skills available all time! She curbs off enough of her distress to reply dryly and soft-selling her agitation, "only when you're not pulling this stunt."
After Masato's attention turned to Kenshin, Sadayo was forced to make one, wide side-step out from behind him and back into view. A curse of being half the Jinchuriki's size and she was tempted to wholeheartedly yank outward on his hair for frightening her. "What kind of support exactly does she need? Protection, I imagine" This was beginning to sound like a "Two-beasts in one go" sort of endeavor with at least one that Sadayo could assume was going to be more cooperative. Although, the cleansing ritual surely didn't require a needless extraction.
With the details generally hammered out, Sadayo's expression was teetering toward being a pensive stare busy upon the events that might come ahead and arms were purposefully withdrawn, folded, and hidden beneath her cloak.The Hokage would turn her head, sights idly fixated over the bend of Masato's arm as she spoke, " I think we can make do with the Falls." Her attention then switching over to the sharp contour of his chin. "If it'll please your mother. The comment was for Kenshin, Kameyo, and the goddess. The meadows, however, were her first choice.

He nodded as he released the hand, listening to the plot of Jashin. "Seems to line up with what Whiskers' said about Jashin. " he replied. Kenshin's affirmation to purify Kurama of Jashin's influence was a relief. Not only for Kurama's sake but his own. He disliked the idea of a god being able to manipulate Kurama, and in consequence him as well. His dealings with Kagami had made him adamant not to be controlled ever again.
As the deal seemed to settle, Byakko saying he was as ready as he'd ever be, Masato would feel Kurama's unsettling movement. Internally he spoke " Yo, calm down will ya." Kurama snarled back, clearly aggrivated. " You think he'll just let this happen? You'd just be able to just stop his greatest weapons just like that? You're playing with forces you can't understand, damned fool!"
Masato sighed, shrugging in his mental world. " Blah, blah, blah. Y'know for some almighty force of destruction you're really damn dense. If I was bound for death, it woulda' come from Sanda's hand, not some manipulator who won't face his enemies in direct combat. If he was so damn strong he'd have killed Ma' and the others already." Kurama growled in aggrivation with the hypocritically dense Uchiha. "Wasting my time, arguing with a wall on this, aren't I?" The fox replied, which was responded to with a grin and a confident nod.
Snapping to, Masato would nod at the group. " I can provide some protection if needed. Otherwise, I can keep people from interfering, seems to always happen in this kind of situation." With that, Masato would turn sharply, staring down to Sadayo, lurking beneath his chin. " C'mon, let's hurry. Thalia is gonna be hungry and I'm not fighting her for another helping like last time." With a swift scoop, Sadayo would find all her graceful, tactful disposition offset by the Uchiha who moved to effortlessly lift and toss the Hokage over his should with her facing the opposite direction of himself, her legs dangling freely as he began moving towards the Takijinsei Falls in preparation, determined not to do battle with his tiny terror for food again.

▱▰▱Now that the plan was set into place, Kenshin would nod and turn on his heel. As he marched with the others toward Takijinsei he continuously considered what his plan of action was. He knew that he would need some time to train in using the demon's chakra before he could purify it and the others. There was also the even more difficult matter that was uniting this divided world against the threat of Jashinism. Kenshin kept quiet as he meditated on these strategies and continued to walk.

Getsuruito must be in its rapier form to use this ability and 5 chakra can be spent upon activation of this technique to transform it as such. The Righteous Sword of the Sentinel technique has a 10 post duration before necessitating re-activation and costs an E-Rank amount of chakra. The initial activation of this technique consumes an action but all subsidiary abilities of the technique do not.
Smiting Blade of the Night Watch [ Naitō Otchi no Sumittinguburēdo ] | Rank X | Bukijutsu [ Lightning ] | Spiritual When this technique is activated it crackles violently with night blue lightning for the entire duration. The electricity from the blade also forms bolts of lightning over the body of the user and appears to supercharge them. Whenever the blade is swung or thrust over the duration the user can fire a concentrated blast of ten bolts of lightning to accompany the strike equal to the rank applied but for only half the cost to initiate the technique. Hatake, Raiu, and Sage enhanced lightning can pass through the blade and apply to these lightning bolts. The bolts cause a thunderously deafening sonic boom and can inflict tier 2 burns upon direct contact with the lightning. Additionally, these lightning bolts can be freely applied to all complex bukijutsu for no action cost to smite enemies. The only action cost is when the technique is activated and all subsidiary abilities of the technique do not consume actions and only chakra. This ability can be used in both forms of Getsuruito.
Draconic Sabre of Moon Sundering [ Getsu Sandaringu no Dorakonikku Seibā ] | Rank X | Bukijutsu [ Lightning ] | Complex This is the original ability of the ancient Getsuruito blade and thus requires the original katana form. 5 chakra can be spent to transform the blade to its original form upon activation of this technique. Crackling and thunderous dark blue lightning can be applied to the katana's edge at any rank and the same lightning can form a dragon head formed from electricity over the body of the user for 10 posts. This allows all spiritual techniques the sword comes into contact with to be slashed through and even cut in half at the same rank despite the complex nature of the technique. For half of the original cost to activate the technique a same-rank spiritual electrical energy slash can be sent out from the slash of the blade. This same cost can be applied to any complex bukijutsu to achieve the same effect. The original 10 post activation of this ability consumes an action but all subsidiary abilities do not.
Himitsu stretched his arms together above his head as he walked past the village gates, enjoying a relaxing walk through the village. He stopped briefly and arched his back, giving a last big stretch before giving a sigh and relaxing his body and dropping his arms. The Uchiha boy rested his gaze on the village gates, thinking to himself. "It's been a while since I've been out of the village. I should see about talking my way into an away-mission some time soon..."
Tucking his hands into his pockets, Himitsu continued his walk. He had planned on getting some training in today, but never made up his mind what kind of training to focus on. Part of the reason he'd even gone on this walk was to decide, but he'd mostly just ended up day dreaming. "If I'm going to start making progress on making chuunin soon, I need to start planning better. Or at least making decisions... In which guess, I suppose I'll work on the bow today." With this in mind, he made his way through town, toward the academy training grounds.

Indirect sounds (falling branches, tumbling rocks, kicking up leaves, etc.) are not affected by this.

Takao stretched at the gates, knowing his team were not far behind at all given his sensory prowess. He was incredibly excited to see the Leaf again because he associated it with the second chance he was given after being welcomed back into the Storm's fold. That said, he couldn't negate that they had an important diplomatic duty as well. As he approached the gates, he would speak to his arriving team. "I may have skipped a few formalities, but I'm Takao Yamamoto and our mission, to be clear, is to communicate with the Hokage and let her know about the leadership in Arashigakure as well as what we know about the Jashinist problem." Unaware he was doing it, Takao let his hand drift down to his stomach, protectively braced over his stomach where his bijuu seal was.
With that said, he came up to the gates directly and politely waved at the guards. "Hi, we're genin and chunin from the Storm and we're looking to discuss some diplomatic matters with the Hokage, if she'll have us!" He then waited for a response from the guards as he kept an ear out for his team's concerns if there were any.

Not long after Takao arrived, so did Hotaru. The single twin appeared directly next to the man. "Ohhhh my goddd I'm gonnnaaa..." The man quickly ran to the nearest trashcan he could find and immediately hurled his lunch directly into the basket. "Ughhhh." The man groaned as Seo took a step out of Hotaru's body, seemingly not phased by the constant shunshins. The woman stretched, yawning softly. Hotaru's eyes darted towards his sister, fire in his eyes. "I told you we should have taken turns!" Is all the man could muster before returning to the trash bin he had found.
"Well, maybe you should have woken me up." Seo shrugged gently and walked back over to Takao who had begun speaking to them. "I'm Seo Hyuuga and my brother over there is Hotaru." Her hand would go up as she spoke, pointing her thumb over her right shoulder at her brother. Hotaru's body spasms had mostly stopped, but he laid his head in the trashcan, defeated. 'Come on you're making us look bad.' Seo thought to her brother in their twin telepathy. 'I swear Seo.' Hotaru replied, pulling his head out of the trash and slowly walking his way over to the group. It almost appeared as if he were drunk while Takao spoke to the guards at the gate. "I'm gonna take a nap..." Hotaru grumbled as he took a step into his sister's flesh and molded with her, disappearing from view. A strange sight given their height and weight differences.
