Nachith took every bit of pain, large or small, as it came, and swallowed it down. He was practically eager for more; it was only what he deserved, after all. But others deserved better, and seeing a wingmate who seemed to be struggling, he reached out to offer some meager encouragement.

Retired NPC J'tugo and blue Losalmuth Firestone Run for B'ram and Nachith
Another blue in need! J'tugo and Losalmuth set off yet again, for a run that would likely be at least as tricky as the last, if not more so, as this pair was up fighting at mid altitude! But up they went regardless...and were plagued by the same problem. Once again, Thread and wind were against them, nd J'tugo struggled to throw the stone properly in the poor conditions. He underthrew, and yet again, the pair he was delivering to just barely caught their stone, but did catch a strand of Thread on their wingsail.
Oh, bother! Many apologies, Losalmuth offered with a cringe, and hurried away.

No, not Lireloth! Harth keened fiercely for their lost wingmate, and felt a certain exhaustion seep further into her bones. What a terrible, terrible loss... But they could only pause but a moment, as the fight was still far from over, and quite a fight it was. The green struggled against the wind, and was blown into a tangle of Thread.

Harth emerged from Between with a new ache, but still, she and Hers persisted...only for a wingmate to very nearly flame them! The bright green was able to duck and twist out of the way just in time, but it was an uncomfortably close call.

Soon after, a clump of Thread was blown up towards them by a strong gust of wind, forcing them Between to avoid it. Fortunately, they were just in time, and came out unharmed.

They were going to have no shortage of aches and pains by the end of this, no doubt, both physical and otherwise, but for now, they persisted - though Harth cried out in alarm as she saw a wingmate fall. No! Rixth! Please, please let the Queens catch him. Please let him be alright...

Remarkably, they had a bit of a break, giving them time to reflect. Poor, lost Lireloth and Thella...they could only hope that Rixth and His did not join them. They had lost more than enough for one day.

No sooner had Hyglath keened for their lost wingmate - Lireloth, oh poor Lireloth! - than he had to hop Between to avoid a sheet of Thread...only to come out far too close to another! They blinked away again, reappearing close enough to flame half of it away before they had to hop Between again to safety.

As Hyglath flamed down another clump of Thread, the wind gusted and blew the hot ash right back at them. Ohh, that stung, but at least it was only ash!

As he chomped on another hunk of firestone, Hyglath bit down on his tongue. Oh, fardles. The burly bronze heaved a sigh, but just as he began to feel a bit sorry for himself, Phocath sent him a bit of encouragement, and he thrummed happily in response. He sent his wingmate a wave of fondness, and put the pain out of mind.
