I just get the feeling that gaia just isn't what it should be anymore and that it has gotten too big too fast. And that always spells bad news.

Well I wasn't to excited for the battle system. Mostly because my computer can hardly run any of their games so i didn't have much hope for the battle system. XD
I just hate how hard it is to get the items you want now a days :/

I didn't particularly care about the battle system either... actually I don't really care about the stuff going on as long as I can still chat with the people in this guild

I guess Shram but I'm feeling that they are seriously headed down the wrong road for a while now.
Even the art in the new Manga that came out today set me off. Go look at Edmund. He looks worse and worse as you go along.
And another thing. Isn't this site rated PG13? What is up with the slutty Alruna's Rose and all the insinuating stuff and cursing in the last few mangas.
And the alcohol and smoking in the stupid Olympics one with Lanzer?
I know its all over TV anyway but seriously.

They've been promising new guild features for years. The main forums are largely full of idiots, trolls, and whores, so my guilds are the only place I bother posting.
But since guilds don't generate them revenue, I doubt very much that they'll bother to make new features.
There used to a community on Gaia; think back to the early events. Now, it's all about buy this, buy that, and that...
I know they need a lot of money to keep the place running and to make improvements. But it seems like it's only about money now, and not about community. =/
Elcia: You and I have a different idea of what's "PG-13". Bare skin =/= slutty. =/ This place is considerably more PG-13 than most of what goes on on Myspace, and it's certainly more family-friendly than a lot of video games. I'm GLAD to see that they aren't soley targeting the young teenagers.

Oh I'm not into the battle thing to battle. Its just that when I started Gaia my dad asked it we could "walk" in the town maps. Which we can't. And I love the "teleport" button.
So upon seeing that the battle system will let us walk in Barton town and maybe someday all the towns on the map, I really wanted to get started.
It might be silly but it's the little things that really make my day.

the manga thing bothered me a little, but I've always liked the Alruna's rose personally. Like I said before though, I don't really care WHAT happens as long as I still can talk to the people in this guild

Yup they have and we really need it too. I don't leave this guild except on very rare occasions. But it seems like it's only about money now, and not about community. =/My brother has been ranting about just that for months now ever since the cash shop turned up. And my friend who hasn't been on much for ages doesn't want to come back for that reason. I probably have a naive prudish sense of what is decent and whats not for my age but still some things are not necessary. Actually for the cursing I'd prefer they'd be creative and invent gaian equivalents for curses like dramallama (maybe that came from out side Gaia. I wouldn't know) Also I don't want this place to get like Myspace and I hate random n00bs asking to be my friends. It makes me want to flame them with all the descriptive writing talent in my being.

as far as I see this hasn't gotten as bad as MySpace, the mere fact that I'm not flooded with unwanted friends requests while in Myspace I am and I'm harldy there means a lot to me
