Narcis looked at her briefly and shrugged. "If you so choose," he replied, still focused on finding Nezik mentally. "The alternative for them is death."
He was reaching more than he perhaps should have had to - Nezik was young, but not that young. Finally, a tiny voice whispered, Narcis?
Yes, Nezik. Where are you?
I don't know. I don't know. It's dark. Narcis, come take me home.
I'm coming. Be ready for us.
Narcis opened his eyes and looked at the others. "He's awake," he stated plainly. "Frightened but alive." His face was set, no emotion revealed whatsoever. "I told him we will get him home."

 Joshua let out the breath he hadn't realized he'd been holding. "That's a relief. We will get him home." He glanced at Rose. "I can get in the door. Just get them out of sight for even just five minutes." He wanted as little bloodshed as possible. Yet he knew that if Narcis went to kill the guards, he wouldn't stop the siren. It was too important to get Nezik.

Drunken_Ninja08 Joey smiled, surprisingly glad that he wasn't alone, even if it was Violet. "Okay. Well, seeing as we got off on the wrong way, I shall reintroduce myself. I am Joey." He attempted a mock bow...and almost went underwater in the process. Violet laughed as he tried to bow. "well as you already know, I am violet..." she said.

Joey righted himself and shook the water out of his hair. "Heh...A pleasure." He looked at the sky for a second before allowing his gaze to return to Violet. He quickly thought up a way to hold a somewhat pleasant conversation...though he wasn't too social himself. "Well, I love the sea. Some would say that it was my one love. I never get tired of it. I wouldn't ever want to see any of this spoiled or ruined." He genuinely smiled as he gazed out at the horizon. "Is there anything you have ever wondered about humans, because I do have a few questions to ask myself, if you don't mind."

"yea...... it's beautiful...." Violet said. "But it is slowly diminishing..." she said then he mentioned any questions about humans. "well... I always wondered.... what is it like, i mean, walking?" she asked him curiously.

Joey managed a nod. "Yes, that's true, and it breaks my heart to know about it...yet be unable to do anything about it." He blinked and thought for a second. "Hmm...what is it like swimming with a tail? It, really, is the same question. It is something that is so habitual that I don't think about it much. I do it everyday, so it doesn't mean much to me. It is the same as swimming for you, correct?"

"yea i guess..." Violet said swishing her tail. "it's just kinda hard to explain.... i guess it would be like tieing your legs together and growing your feer 5 times their size with webbed toes." she said as she tries to explain it. "that's the best example i can come up with."

Joey nodded. "I see...gah!" He winced, a searing pain in his leg. He looked down and saw that his cut on his leg was bleeding, more than he had imagined. He winced and felt his other leg cramp up. "Oh...damn it..."

Violet kinda jumped when he cut himself and backed up a little. then she looked down and saw he was hurt. "your bleeding...." she said.

"No...kidding!" He sputtered, trying to keep his head above water. "L-look...I know...we don't...exactly see...eye-to-eye...but...I need...your help..." He went under for a second before surfacing with a gasp. "My leg...cramped...shallower...water...please!" was all he managed before he went under, unable to keep his head above water.

Violet swam back a little as he sputtered and tried desperately to stay above water. then he went under. she paused for a minuite trying to decide wether to help him or not. then with a sigh she dove under and grabbed his arm pulling him above the surface. then she swam towards shore with him on her back.

Joey coughed and spat out water as he was pulled to the surface. He winced in pain and realized that Violet had saved him. He was quiet as she pulled him to the shore. "You don't have to take me all the way in...just enough so my feet can touch the bottom is fine...and..." He paused and winced in pain before continuing. "Thanks."

Lucian remained quiet the whole time, not sure what to say. He just watched the two and thought of different plans himself. He would kill anyone who touched Joshua. Lucian kept watching for any possible threats, “Just tell Lucian what you want him to do? Perhaps trick the people who caught merboy, so they wouldn’t come back and search the sees again?”

Narcis gestured wryly. "So. We have little time, Joshua, and Nezik doesn't know where in the building he is. He cannot help us. We have to hurry. Girl," he addressed Rose, "if you want to distract the guards, you had best do it now."
When Lucian spoke, Narcis said simply, "Do what you can. It's what we'll be doing."
He approached the back door. Looking back, he said quietly, "Joshua? Do you have the key?"
