My neighbors (WITH THE ADDITION NOW OF MY DAD) have made this day a royal shitfest.

Well, attached under the higher shelf (where the Kleenex are) is a tubed overhead lamp. There's a metal piece that sticks out. What its purpose is, it's never been figured out. To say the least, my hand was going upwards and hit the corner of said out-jutting piece.
