Mala nodded in agreement. "I'm tired of giving this a*****e chances. Before, I would've just suggested permanently crippling him. After this, I want him GONE."

"Plus, I know I lifted Jaquel's curse. This thing must have gotten strong enough to make itself a physical form, so it's technically not a real person, and thus, exempt from the gods' mercy law." Van said squatting down next to Daemon while Kai got up and brushed himself off. "Well, ya demonic creep, I wish I could say it's been fun, but then I'd be lying." he said as he put a hand on the demon's chest, giving off a bright light before Daemon suddenly seemed to explode in a shower of white sparkles. "And that, as they say, is that."

{Such a shame we didn't get to do the Ariae encounters Daemon thing. XD}

"We should go explain that 'he is not a person' thing to Larai." Mala told Van, losing a big portion of her smile once she remembered who exactly patched him up.

"Yeah..." Van said as he picked up Kai. "Come on, let's go get your sister." he said as he started walking back to Marianne's den.

 

[M3Gnificent]

Mala raised an eyebrow. "Go get her? Where did you send her exactly? I certainly hope you haven't sent her to mother's or anything. That woman has the maternal instinct of a woodchipper."

Larai didn't even bother knocking on the statue or going inside Marianne's home. Instead, she was hugging her knees to her chest in the darkest corner of the temple, crying softly to herself.

"I'm sorry, did you want me to leave her home alone instead?" Van said as they got to the temple, Kai holding on to his father a little tighter than usual.

 

[M3Gnificent]

"You've got a point. Still, don't be surprised if she starts asking us about 'this' and 'that'." Mala warned Van as they went on inside.

Larai quieted her crying a little, not wanting to be found by them now. She couldn't help but fear that her parents would be so ashamed of her now...

Van went to knock on the door, hoping Larai wasn't too much of a wreck.

Larai whimpered softly as she scurried back further into the shadows.

"Wait, did either of you hear that?" Van caught the ever so faint sound of whimpering, but just barely.

 

[M3Gnificent]

Mala nodded, opening the door and going on to investigate. "Larai? Sweetie, if you're here, please come here so we can go home! Okay? Today was a rough day for all of us, and I'm sure you'd want some nice yummy food to fill that empty stomach of yours~" she said, keeping a warm and loving tone as she spoke - trying to lure her daughter out.

((Crap post while my family rushes off to go be crazy and go shopping three days before Christmas. biggrin *puts on army helmet and marches off*))

"Come on Larai! Time to go home now!" Van called.

 

[M3Gnificent]

"Aren't you mad at me, though?! For everything that's happened?" Larai asked through her tears with much confusion.

((Okay, family not as crazy as I thought, we were just going grocery shopping.))

"Mad at you? Why would we be mad at you?" Van asked in confusion, having not yet heard that this mess was Larai's fault.

"It was all my fault. If I hadn't let my pity guide my actions, he would still be all charred and we would've never had to deal with this mess..." Larai said, sighing. "It's all my fault..." she kept mutturing to herself, starting to cry once again.
