I watched a Yaoi once, I didn't realise until half way through...Oh I see. ...The girls just never came!

Anyone want a copy of Twilight that I'm apparently not going to get any use out of? *le sigh*

Hey Chester, hope you're doing well.
I'd ask for Twilight, Tae, if I was big on telly shows at the moment. Generally I don't have time for sit-down-and-watch entertainment.

I meant the book, Linny. blaugh I should have specified. If there's a TV show, I'm not familiar with it.
And I am *so* lost with all the nicknames. Seriously, I thought trying to explain *my* names was hard. At least it's consistent, though.

Isn't Twilight that newfangled vampire book series?
It doesn't look very interesting to me. I usually can't stand the modern vampire.

Exactly K0m0. Except it appears to be targetted at swoony 14 year-old girls. Maybe there's something less revolting later on in the book, but I'm not sure I'll make it that far in.
If you've ever read Anne Rice and thought her writing was syrupy and over-wrought, she ain't got nothing on Stephanie Meyer.

I haven't read any Anne Rice yet, to the disapproval of some real life friends, because, from what I seem to gather from them, the appeal is the whole vampire thing and that alone. Not to discredit the author for this, but I can't thrive on just vampires (though the thought of being bitten is... intriguing to say the least).

Most of them are saturated with Roman Catholic influence, surprisingly (or not surprisingly, if you're familiar with her latest epiphany...).
Jesus, eternal life, the idea of souls, what is good/evil, redemption, heaven, hell, the sacrement...all themes that play a very significant role.
Still, aside from that, which might as well be filler considering the actual plot, it really is just a bunch of vampire novels. I enjoy them, but they're no great literary works or anything.

I'll probably keep holding off on them then, unless I'm handed the book by someone and told to read it. Generally vampire novels just don't immediately make me go "Ooooh... Must read."

There're probably a dozen by now, so might as well.
Anyway, I'm out for the night. x_X I think I may go empty my stomach. I'm on 4 different medications and I think all of them would work better if they would stay down for more than 15 minutes.
Have a good night, guys.
