Or maybe Claus. But I'm not German enough for Claus.

It's pronounced Meeshell. sweatdrop Like the English name Michelle. I work with a Michel, and he just goes by Mike because everyone asks him why he has a girl name.

At least in Canada. European French might be different.

Though, I like Meeshell... I'd probably consider that along with Jean.

Jean-Michel is a really common name. =3 But it's catchy.

French people here give their kids ridiculously long first names.
Alexandre-Sebastien. Jocelyn-Augustin.

And they *freak* if you just call them Alexandre. o_O

@ Silver:

Juan Miguel. =3

I like Spanish names, probably because no one here has them.

Although, I do know a girl called Mariecon. >_> Her parents probably don't speak Spanish.

Hehheh... Yeah... French people love their hyphenated names.

Jehnehveeveh-veevee'ehne..?
PostPosted: Wed Aug 06, 2008 2:38 pm

I left out an accent. Based on what I wrote, yes, that's how you pronounce it.

Geniviêve/Geniviève. I can't remember which accent. Jeh-neh-vee-ehvh. Ugh. Pretty name by itself. Vivienne was just excessive. Too many VVVVs.

Just wanted to sound extra French. You can't be French without a hypenated name.

Clearly I will name my child Mariecon. Or I could get really "creative" with the spelling and call her Maricon.

ninja

Lin: x3 That name is so French it should be served with wine and a baguette.
