Revelio and Open Sesame! Double Clutch Hatching!

Once Upon a Dream watched as his cousin moved off to poke and whisper at eggs. He looked around, saw that Hufflepuff was with their father, and poor A Dream Is a Wish Your Heart Makes was being helped out of her shell by Felix Felicis.

Well, now that everything seemed right (or about as right as he felt it wold be) the bronze finally began to move among the Candidates. Unlike some, he knew exactly where His was, and with every confidence, strode directly before him.

A prize you say, SulamolMine? There was a hint of laughter and amusement within the words. A mix of fondness and trust affection. If that's the case, than you're certainly the lucky winner! I've dreamed of meeting with you for so long, that I couldn't possibly wait any longer. With you as my own, I know there's nothing we can't accomplish together. Let's go be heroes, Mine. For now and for always. The bronze dragon reached out snuggle up close to the large man, wrapping his wings half-around him to pull him closer.

This was their moment, after all.

“Heck yeah!” Dhawsn returned the shoulder slap with a wide grin. “Ain’ no time to be harpin’ on the bad stuff right now, we got babies t’celebrate.”

There were eyes biting into him, and he turned and openly showed that grin to one woman who seemed less than pleased with his behavior. “Right, miss?”

(Luckily, Dhawsn didn’t represent the prestigious High Reaches.)

But look, the bronze approached! Dhawsn’s hesrt leapt into his mouth, yet the dragon wasn’t for him, but the guy he had just been chatting with. “See, look at that!” he cheered, clapping. “Tha’s what I’m talkin’ ‘bout!”

YURASTAR

Yurastar might not have been able to understand it, but he knew what an Impression looked like from an outsider's point of view. The look on the face of the dragonet, the look on the face of the now rider. It was an experience his mother and father had told him about many times as a bedtime story and so to see it up close (without death and screaming all about him) was really nice. He had no idea who the rider was but whomever they happened to be they certainly were someone amazing if such a beautiful dragonet looked to them now.

But then!!! There! Yurastar's eyes flipped over to watch the movement from the very first egg, and he was surprised to see...gold?! So early on in the hatching?!?! Such an amazing thing, he was almost beside himself with excitement.

Farellen blinked, what he'd thought was a brown or a bronze.. was in fact a gold! oh but she was darling, not for him clearly but totally adorable.

Rokar was surprised that the little hufflepuff baby turned out to be a gold, not a male hatchling as he'd suspected, well that was a turn of events, she was so timid ... not a usual trait for a gold.

Helane stared, mouth agape "IT'S A GOLD" she cried, before clamping her hand over her mouth and uttering a quiet mental "sorry" jumping shipfish, she didn't want to scare the poor sensetive dear Between ... Oh but she hoped the little queen's rider wasn't as timid as she was, she needed someone to balance her out surely?

The first Impression was made, the bronze enveloping his chosen with his wings. It was… beautiful, actually. Like nothing he’d ever seen before. He felt a strange sort of tickle inside and turned to look up at Yunara again. She was looking back. It was hard to tell from here, but she seemed worried. He could guess why. The parent dragons were on the alert for their children. It was only right that they protected them. Karou knew what they were worth. He knew what the world would be like without them. A barren wasteland. Like home.

He gave a small wave up toward the girl in the stands. Don’t worry. He was fine. As much as he could be, anyway.

Shar opened her eyes in time to see One Upon a Dream stride confidently over to one of the Candidates, Impressing him without a second guess. Impressions like that always made her smile and she tossed one to the two newly bonded's way before turning to focus again on the eggs and dragons before her. A green had tumbled out of A Dream is a Wish Your Heart Makes and...oh, look at that. She had to chuckle softly as Hufflepuff came around and into view, her golden hide easy to spot now that she was out of her shell. A shy queen...how cute.

Now, if everyone could stop being negative and do as they were supposed to do, everything would continue without a hitch. She continued sending warm thoughts to the little queen, hoping she'd come over to say hello to Zamistia and hopefully give the both of them a little confidence boost.

So the egg held a queen, did it? The smirk that crossed her lips wasn't one of regret, but rather amusement. The sort of Queen K'ienn would enjoy probably, one who would have a rider he could easily control? Either way she was....lovely to behold, so dark and quiet, but still. There were no feelings of rejection in this case, just simple neutral nature, and she looked to Arlie (and the person Arlie had felt necessary to drag over. Why, Arlie.). "She could be yours, Arlie. A gentle temperament much like your own, lovely and fair."

To the boy, he got a scowl. Don't talk to her, coward, she knew of you.

Tarnaria

Tarnaria gave a gasp of delight as Sulamol Impressed. Not only had a bronze hatched first, but a bronze had also IMPRESSED first! Oh, this was going to be such a wonderful Hatching! She clasped her hands together, grinning big. She didn't notice, at first, that the shy baby had started moving, until she turned and gave a much smaller gasp. When had the darling moved so far? They'd find theirs!

Lady Grey

Lady Grey only let out a huff at Dhawsn. The irritation didn't last long, though - She couldn't help but smile at the man who'd Impressed. Ah, so this was why everybody enjoyed coming to these! It WAS nice to watch dragons find their forever partner. For the briefest of moments, she wondered what she would Impress if she'd been a candidate. Probably a green... Or maybe a blue. Definitely not a gold, though. Gold just wasn't her color, she felt.

"Well, I'd be only the best for the best." Iathe was perhaps too kind with her assessment, but it balanced Roana's judgement quite nicely. It would take more than a little scorn to upset the woman, though there was a significant lack of warmth to her features to tell how she felt either which way. "Mmmm, I need that stick there to keep all the dead bodies from falling over," she stated dismissively with a wave of her hand, clearly unbothered.

Especially with someone a touch more exciting than a jabbing statement coming over. "I wouldn't have invited you if I hadn't thought you'd be welcomed," Marty greeted Zyamel, her attention running between her growing posse to peer between the three women she stood with, and the growing group out on the sands. The bronzes were given an appropriate amount of appraisal, despite the impossibility. The two greens were given perhaps an extra helping of attention more....but oddly it was the brown father on the sands that stirred up Marty's heart in a way.

Is she okay? Is Marty truly okay!?

She was fine. Fine. That sentiment had unexpectedly jabbed at an end when she hadn't expected it. Reel it in. It's fine.

Of course, it was easy to be distracted when a certain bronze paced the sands to pick theirs out. How nice. At the sight of Hufflepuff beginning her rounds, Marty couldn't help but nudge Iathe with a knowing smile.

That egg was still moving this way and that way, but with more babies on the sands - another green and another baby hidden off behind their father, it was less and less of a good idea to focus in one direction. Positive thoughts, hmm? Each of these dragons seemed like they'd be quite fine once they were impressed. Well, they already were nice looking dragons.

But he wasn't about to expect that any were his. Even if he wanted it - shards, there was no saying he wanted it anymore than anybody else, but he had really been keeping himself in check to not lose this.....opportunity.

And then the first impression was made - the bronze from Fianth's clutch to a boy he didn't know. That was fine. A safe start, at least.

Fisher didn't look excited in the way Kinye did, and she couldn't help but turn her attention from the new babies on the sands - sweet Hufflepuff being comforted by their father, another green that was far too darling, and of course those who had already been there.

The tiny girl nudged Fisher gently when she yawned. "Too early? The warm sands are nice..."

And then the first baby went to a boy and Kinye rested her hands over her heart thoughtfully. How wonderful! And a sweet little gold on the prowl now? Oh!

Another green! Fahn was practically bouncing and there were still so many other dragons to hatch and meet! "Ohhh! They're darling!" she cooed, her attention drifting towards the back where one of the fathers had come to comfort an only partially hatched child. Come out when you're ready! We'll be here! Fahn offered encouragingly.

To Rhylune, Fahn offered a wave. "I'm Fahn. This is really exciting, right?"

If her and Jeri vibrating into the great beyond was any indication, at least. Especially now that the candidates were seeming a bit more interesting to the babies. And one was a little queen. Fahn audibly gasped.

Another green, and all was well so far. Good. Nobody had really moved towards the candidates, and it was rather hard to decide what one thought at babies besides the vagueness that was 'positive thoughts'.

So thoughts of how he'd helped Pern long before coming back to High Reaches would have to do. And of course, how lovely of a sight to watch a dragon choose theirs.

Oh, hey, a Bronze impressed! Finally, something new. Well, for now! All of this felt quite intriguing, and Siv beamed. Such a good boy -- and now here was the Hufflepuff baby and Siv settled, waving at tjhe dragonet easily.

"G'luck finding Yours, baby." Siv encouraged. THIS was gonna be a treat.

Amilawas watching the young bronze impress with curiousity, wondering what to think when movement caught the corner of her--

Wait was that dragonet from Huffle-- oooohhh dear.

OH NO AMILA DIDN'T WANT TO HURT THJE BABY AGAIN and the girl squeaked, scampering to hide... In the same place she had during the Touching after the egg cried when she tried to compliment her.

NOPE SHE DID NOT WANT TO HURT THAT BABY AGAIN SHE WAS GOING TO WATCH FROM A SDAFE DISTANCE. And see if the baby Impressed someone there!

Aroontwa couldn’t stop bouncing. Oh! It was so amazing! The first Impression! And a GOLD! Another bronze! Greens! Yes! It was a wonderful day! He could wait alllllllll day long if he had to to see every last one of these cuties find a match! Yes! Great day!

"It is nice to meet you all," Rhylune said, pushing up on her toes, looking out in excitement. "Ooh! A Little gold, isn't she pretty?" She was pretty little dragon. They were all so pretty actually! Rhylune knew that dragons were pretty and could be dangerous she had watched the before but it was different being on the sands and just seeing them. Meeting them.

"Do you think she'll come over this way?" Rhylune just really wanted to see her better.

The little girl’s arm readily hooked into Lusialu’s, her grin wide. “Nice to meet you!” she said to Nyaranau. The other girl was a bit older, but seemed nice! Then she looked back at that partially-hatched egg, squinting to try and discern the hatchling’s color. “It could be bronze, but I wonder…?”

Soon after, one of the bronzes went to a boy, hugging him with his wings. Vaali let out a coo of adoration. This was the best part of hatchings! So many good signs had been with these clutches. It was going to be the best hatch in history!

The yellow and black egg finally hatched, revealing—she gasped—a baby queen! “Ohhhh, Lusialu, it’s a gold!”
