On the plus side, any negative status effect (i.e. additional Fatigue Effect, Guilt, Bitten Tongue, etc.) is also negated, since your dragon is too tired to care. The only exception is if you get a status that cures Fatigue or your Wingleader/Wingsecond rolls a status cancelling roll.)

Thread stung, but a jump Between took care of it. A quick check on the other side deemed it nothing to worry about. You look fine, N'ori affirmed to his dragon.

Meigth seemed to have gotten another burst of energy in him, suddenly perking up a bit more. Or perhaps it was the sight of a Wingmate in danger that sent the bronze flying off to flame an offending clump of thread that had gotten much, much too close.

Another clump of Thread turned to ash. Another gust of wind blowing it into their faces. N'ori swiped at his face to keep it from sticking and thumped Meigth supportively as the bronze hissed with discomfort.

This tangles up on your dragon's tail and foot. You immediately blink Between, with the injury hurting your dragon, but not enough to slow you down. Light Damage - 2 HP


Aurinkoth was too tired to have moved as nimbly as he may have under any other circumstances and the tangling of Thread over his foot and tail was met with a small cheep of pain before they blinked Between.

It was only upon landing again that the sad keening began, Ichta's heart twisting as her sunniest, happy boy began to sing a mourning song with the rest of the dragons.

Aurinkoth was, at least, doing his best to push through his exhaustion to still flame what Thread he could and Ichta sent a wave of pride through their bond. You did it! Keep it up!

They'd barely jumped from one clump of Thread just to land in one that hadn't been there when Ichta had planned the jump, twisting up in both woman and dragon. She hissed with pain, taking a moment to clear her head before making Aurinkoth jump again.

This time, back to the Healers.

If a green or blue you find yourself struggling against the wind. The wind is powerful this high up, and you have to struggle to keep in your airspace. Unfortunately, a strong gust blows through, and you find yourself blown right into a clump of Thread! Moderate Damage -4 HP


    Okay, dear, it's time.

    Ingonth didn't object, but his displeasure was palpable.

    Fine.

    With a heavy draconic sigh, the pair disappeared from sight.

4. Nothing to flame quite yet, which is almost a miracle in this sort of Threadfall. Still, you're able to relax a moment, look around, and take note of your airspace. All's well... for now.

Thankful for the moment's rest, Librath's head lifted sharply as she felt the loss of one of their own. Her keen joined the skies with the other dragons, the sorrow of losing a fighter felt deeply within her. They all knew the risks of flying and while no one wanted to die, Librath gave a quiet salute of respect to the brown and His. A'kir, for his part, remained emotionless on her back. He could feel her pain but he knew they had to focus if they didn't want to join them. They could mourn when the fall was through.

12. You try to flame down some Thread, but your flame comes up short. Whoops! Hopefully your Wingleader didn't see that. Nothing to be done about it now except eat some more firestone, and try to catch the next clump!

Trying to focus on the task at hand rather than her sadness, Librath swung her head to try to catch a passing clump of Thread. Unfortunately her flame failed to reach it and she let out a snarl of frustration as it fluttered down to the middle wing.

After chewing more firestone, Librath tracked another clump of Thread falling from above. This time her flame reached it and turned it to ash, just in time for the wind to change and blow it right back in her and A'kir's face. Both dragon and rider felt their skin burn with the heat from the remains of Thread, but they flew on despite the sting.

9. The wind is strong and trying hard to buffet you. If a green or blue you find yourself struggling against the wind. The wind is powerful this high up, and you have to struggle to keep in your airspace. Unfortunately, a strong gust blows through, and you find yourself blown right into a clump of Thread! Moderate Damage -4 HP

That same gust of wind picked up, forcing Librath to forego flaming to focus on staying in position. Her wings were taunt and her muscles strained to keep them in place, but the wind blew harder for just long enough to push her directly into a clump of Thread. She bellowed and jumped Between to rid herself of the stuff, emerging again with bared teeth.

1. Blasted all! As you jump Between to avoid a clump of Thread, the winds change, and when you appear from the icey depths, it's right into a major sheet of Thread! Heavy Damage: -8 HP! After returning from Between, A'kir and Librath had only a moment to realize the winds had brought a sheet of Thread to their destination a second before they flew into it. They both gave a shriek of pain and jumped Between again, this time with High Reaches in mind. They'd need to visit the healers immediately.

12. You try to flame down some Thread, but your flame comes up short. Whoops! Hopefully your Wingleader didn't see that. Nothing to be done about it now except eat some more firestone, and try to catch the next clump!

Just as Wuth went to flame down a clump of Thread, the pain of loss lanced through his hearts. His flame was cut short by the roar of agony that echoed through him and the dragons around him, Tamami feeling his pain upon his back.

"Focus!" she snapped, grabbing the edge of her harness. "Later!" Emotions could ruin a fight and her blue, while fierce, wore his hearts on his sleeve. She grappled with his desire to start flaming everything in sight, trying to keep him on track.
