"Then clearly I'm too perfect for my own good." Jaquel said with a chuckle.

((And I guess Milly's off doing the hell's court crap? She just kind of...wandered off...))

{I was just going to say that it was going to happen that night since the whole "bla bla unholy night" classic is awesome, but I'll have it happen now if you'd like.}

"Looks like I'm not the only one with boosted confidence." Ariae then teased, smirking slightly.

((No, no. Don't rush on my account. I'm not desperate just yet. She could also go visit the kids or something like Jaq suggested.))

"Now when did I ever not have a high amount of confidence?" Jaquel said with a smirk.

"That...is very true. I was just saying you seem to have more than usual." Ariae replied, going on to match his smirk.

Milly had gotten herself a snack after she left, and was heading out into town for today. She considered dropping by Van and Mala's place, if only to see and observe how children behave and how she should handle them.

"Your newfound confidence must be rubbing off me, not that I needed the confidence boost to begin with." Jaquel said with a slight chuckle.

"I just hope that's a good thing~" Ariae teased in a now playful tone.

A bit of a ways from their home, Van knelt over Kai; the boy sitting on the ground with a scrape on his knee and his bike laying on the ground next to him. He tried to look like it didn't hurt, but it didn't entirely work while his father healed his knee.

{Hey, Zelly? Can I ask you something?}

Milly noticed this scene as she headed towards her half-sister's home and stopped to watch. Milly decided not to say anything just yet, just in case it might end up somehow messing with Van's concentration and screwing up the healing effect.

((Of course, go right ahead.))

"And poof! It's like it never happened!" Van said with a bright smile as he helped Kai back to his feet. "From now on, though, you probably shouldn't ride around the more ruined areas or you might hit another rock like before, okay?"

{I have this RL friend who has been rather obnoxious lately. They whine and moan about how their life sucks when really they have nothing to complain about, they're always belittling people who have done nothing but treated them with kindness around me - which I find downright disrespectful, and they do nothing but yell or get mad at me for pretty much anything I do - even if I hadn't said anything rude to them at all what so ever. Have you ever dealt with someone like this? If so, how did you deal with them? I cannot fathom how I'm supposed to react to such behavior and it's done nothing but give me a gargantuan headache.}

Milly, not wanting to interrupt, backed off a little - still waiting for them to finish. She couldn't help but feel awkward, like she didn't belong here and she should just somehow leave.

"Just be careful now, okay?" Van said with a smile as he ruffled Kai's hair once he was back on the bike before waving as he rode off again.

"Uhm...Mr. Tyrell?" Milly said in a rather meek manner, finding it to be quite worrisome that she couldn't speak up in a more confident tone.

"Hm? Hey, no need to be so formal, it makes me sound old and stuffy." Van said with a smile when he saw Milly. "Feels like it's been a while; what's up?"

"Well...uhm...it's a long story. Should I wait until later or..?" Milly asked, really feeling nervous about asking about something like this. To say the least, she just felt so awkward about it.
