There was a tradeoff in the animated series. The producers wanted Barbara Gordon to be able to walk in the later series, so something horrible had to happen to someone else. Running theory around our house is that Paul Dini made a deal to let Barbara walk if they let him have free rein for one episode. That episode is the one where Tim Drake meets the amnesiac little girl who turns out to be an extension of Clayface.

they cute my favorite Spiderman villain down to freakin 20 minutes stare VENOM CAN KICK ALL THEIR ASSES!! He is second only to Joker... and that's cause Heath Ledger finally made me want to smex the Joker... that and he's awesomely insane

O_O I think I've seen that clip, you have to remember my sis recently bought "Gotham Knight" and I bought the entire Batman: The animated series ...all thanks to a recent Batman obsession

Hell, they had a video game centered around Venom's spawn, where it was co-op between venom and spidey. aww, how I miss the SNES

@Silver I LOVED the animated series... hence why I bought it and watched the ENTIRE thing
@Arc I was always a bigger fan of Venom, he was just more... my type I guess xd
