Just as long as it wasn't about you or anyone we know, then.

No, it doesn't, not really. It's a bad translation.
Je suis un étron inutile et j'espère (or je veux) mourir. There's a better way to say "piece of s**t", but I don't remember the spelling. I want to say "croute", but that's not it...

So what would it be all together, or is that the whole thing?

That is the whole thing. Your friend added a whole lot of unnecessary words.
"Je suis un morceau de merde, avec rein d'usage, et j'espere que je peut mort"
translates to
I am a morsel of s**t, with nothing of use, and I hope that I could death.
She spelled rien wrong, and conjugated peut and mourir wrong, anyway.
EDIT: Je suis une crotte inutile et j'espère mourir. There we go.

Well, quite a few things are rather clumsily translated between languages. Though I am sad that I missed the secondary conjugation of mourir. Don't affected verbs remain in the base state? EDIT*Looks at Tae's addition to his post* Ah. Never mind, then. Question answered.

If she had to be clumsy, it would have at least been j'espere pouvoir mourir.

Nah, your status levels could be "swell, dandy, fine, peachy, and keen," with varying levels of sarcasm.

Unless I can read something, I have trouble saying it. ._. Unless I understand the alphabet, I don't make much progress with a language.
