The wind grew stronger as Phaeth had to adjust to keep from being blown around the burning wound on his face was enough to remind him what happened when you didn’t pay enough attention to the wind already. It was harder but D’mos helped keeping both blue eyes fixed on watching the silvery masses and the danger they imposed when they grew to close.
”Phaeth over there to the left, the green! It’s getting blown too close to the thread.” It took only seconds for the large bronze to shift close enough to let out a wave of flames towards the clump of thread near the green protecting it from threadscore.

Thanoth could not HELP but be enamored of so many lovely golden beauties twirling around her. She crooned sweet nothings as they fought, fancying herself for a moment like a bronze at chase. Of course, the sudden sight of falling thread shook her from her daydreams, and with a flick of the tail and a burst of whip-crack speed, she ducked ahead, swirling past a larger gold to blast it harmlessly from the sky, wing-tatters whistling all the way.

Neiveth was getting pretty annoyed now, and G'lin was doing his best to assure her that thread was most definitely going to get what was coming for it. The green ducked into a gentle dive, preparing to flame when suddenly she put on the brakes, causing G'lin to hold on for dear life as she rolled away.
As the two moved, a clump of thread blew past them, and Neiveth suddenly bellowed forth her previously held in flames to dust it, snorting confidently as she continued forward. And that is how we do it! she keened to her rider, certain he would be able to appreciate it.

FLYING SECOND WAVE
From where he sat on Oyath, ready to take to the sky when called into action, A'ye kept a watchful eye on the sky. The weyrlings seemed to be doing well enough, much better than their first go he thought, and it was almost inspiring. High Reaches really produced dragons that could fight Thread, and the dragon beneath him rumbled her agreement.
She also rumbled something else, something about a dragon yelling at others like a newborn cheering at a hatching. It was.....cute, in her words. Cute and annoying. Save that screaming for when you're actually in the sky. For now, all you're doing is making those around you uneasy. The green sent her words to the smaller white, though she kept her tone even and fair. Thread days required all her concentration to keep collected, and thus she felt no need to be sassy.

Dormith went in, prepared to flame when 2 things happened - their Wingleader was suddenly pulling away to go back to the Weyr - He will be fine! Dormith assured - and the bronze's flames weren't quite as...flame-y as he'd last recalled them being.
He didn't even have to pass on the message to W'dre as he started his preparation, stuffing the stone into his dragon's mouth as the open maw was offered up to him. It was a thing that happened, alas.

The blue's rigorous flaming depleted his stores faster than usual, but his determined grit to keep fighting, to give back the hurt he could feel his beloved taking, it made him just go harder, faster. And of course, a quick, clumsy chewer was apt to bite their tongue. And gnashing, razor teeth were not so good for poor dragon tongues. He snarled aloud, a fine mist of green ichor spritzing the air around his face, to mingle with the scorched flecks on his snout. He flew on, kept flaming, but he looked ever more terrifying in the process.
Fianth! My love! Call my name if you need me! I might not be a gold, but I would catch you, falling, if it came to that. Even if it meant yet another wing transfer, another reprimand. He could feel V'rind on his back urging him back into line...and only with a last growl of frustration did he submit.

Do you- I see it! Cordrath reached out with his mind, quickly nudging the mind of one of his wingmates with a 'COMING UP BEHIND YOU!' as quickly as he could with the equivalent as polite of a push to get out of the way as possible.

3-8. A particularly nasty tangle of Thread falls through the Wings. Unfortunately, it is doomed to tangle upon one unsuspecting rider! Damage Individual -7 HP

As they returned to formation with another clump of Thread before them, Ddraigth flew into action again. The Thread was easily destroyed but instead of the ash falling out of their way the wind shifted and the cloud was suddenly around them.
The stings of the embers made Ddraigth hiss as he fought back a growl, fighting the pain as well. It wasn't too horrible bad, but it stung and it was such a stupid thing to have happened.
[1]Thread falls, and a sneaky strand winds up chewing on your wingsail. You pop Between to ease the pain, and come out flaming. It hurts, but it's small tubers compared to what it could have been! +1 Pain Resilience] [2]A patch falls down ahead. You dive down, flaming as you go, and both rider and dragon are pleased to watch it turn into harmless ash. This is how it gets done! [3] Flaming down Thread, you find yourself getting blown right into the cloud of ash! It stings and burns, but you're pretty sure no Thread was alive in the cloud. [If a brown or bronze, take Minor Damage -2 Damage but gain +1 Pain Resistance.] [4] [5]

At first, the space they had appeared seemed empty, but a huge, writhing swatch of thread was headed their way! Fenrith bugled in alarm, aware that only seconds remained to save them from a severe scoring. Concentrate, my dear. Here. The pair disappeared moments before thread would have engulfed them, reappearing a little too close to the clump. It caught Fenrith's wing, and they hopped between a third time, the cold a blessed relief to the large Brown.
