Harbingers Wing
Wingsecond Ash'il of Bronze Iptoneth
HP: 39/42
Status Effect:
XP:
Target Accuracy: 6 (+1 to be added after Threadfall)
Flame Length: 7 (+2 to be added after Threadfall)
General Stamina: 9 (+1 to be added after Threadfall)
General Agility: 8
Between Accuracy: 6
Pain Resilience: 8

Ash'il was as ready as he could be when he heard the call for them to change altitudes. He knew they were headed up to high altitude, so he had Iptoneth blink between and to the coordinates they would now be occupying. As soon as they got there, Thread was everywhere. However, they were prepared and knew this is what they were meant to do. They wouldn't let this silvery menace hurt their loved ones, their wing, their Weyr, or anyone on Pern...not if they had their say. He watched as Iptoneth flamed a patch near them, reducing it to harmless ash.

Let's keep this up,Iptoneth thought, ready to take down more Thread.

Rolls

Hour 1, Round 1 (Low Alt)
1. 13) Trying valiantly to catch some thread, your dragon flames a bit sooner than you would have preferred. Surprisingly enough, the flame is long, hot, and sustained longer than usual. Your dragon manages to flame the clump and return to their position in their wing. [+1 Flame Length]
2. 5) A small clump of Thread has fallen through! You successfully flame it down. [+1 Target Accuracy]
3. 11) You check in on your dragon to ensure they're doing all right. Thankfully, your dragon responds that they're feeling fine. All that training and practicing is coming full circle, as your dragon isn't feeling particularly fatigued. If they are suffering from a Fatigue Effect, they get a burst of renewed energy and the status is removed. [+1 Stamina] If your dragon isn't suffering, you are allowed to quote a fellow wingmate (must be in your same wing) who is suffering the effect! Your dragon trumpets at them encouragingly, making them feel better, and giving them a renewed burst of energy and effort. Remove Fatigue Effect from one wingmate!
4. 7) Oh no, look out! A small clump of thread broke through the ranks, and has managed to hit your and your dragon. It is an ugly tangle, and though you blink between, it's going to hurt! [Moderate Damage -5 HP. You are now flying with a Painful status effect. This will negate your next immediate rolls XP and double damage if the roll includes set damage (or has you roll for damage).
5. 20) Something doesn't feel right. You wind up glancing over your shoulder just in time to see a small, silver strand drifting dangerously close to your dragon. Thankfully, your dragon shares your thoughts, and is able to blink Between and higher above their position, missing the strand, and saving yourself from a score. [+1 Instinct] (Negated by painful effect)

Hour 1, Round 2 (Low Alt)
(Since there was a -1, +5, -3 from WL/WS rolls, added one back to HP after all of it lol)
1. 12) By Faranth! You and your dragon pull off a pretty awesome move to catch some Thread that's fallen through. You're able to save one of your Wingmates! Quote one of your Wingmates who took damage this Round! This will remove damage and any possible negative effect from that roll!

2. 9) Your dragon notices a sudden writhing stream of silver thread out of the corner of his or her eye. If a white, green, or blue, with surprising grace, they turn on a wingtip and manage to flame it to ash. You successfully flame it down. [+2 Target Accuracy] If a brown or bronze, you find yourself unable to dodge, and take a hit! [Minor Damage if Bronze - 1 HP // Moderate Damage if Brown - 3 HP]
3. 8 ) Your dragon dives for a strand of thread that has fallen through the upper wings. Right before they belch forth their flame, they suddenly jerk hard to the right, almost in a roll, and quite unexpectedly. Sure enough, a gust of wind would have whipped the thread back in their face! Instead, the strand whips by, and your dragon is able to successfully flame it. [+1 Instinct]
4. 6) A strong gust of wind suddenly pushes you off course and right into a sliver of Thread! If you're a bronze or brown, you or your dragon take a scathing hit, unable to get out of the way. [Minor Damage -3 HP] If you're a blue or green, you wind up twisting easily out of the way, flaming it down successfully! [+1 Stamina]

5. 12) By Faranth! You and your dragon pull off a pretty awesome move to catch some Thread that's fallen through. You're able to save one of your Wingmates! Quote one of your Wingmates who took damage this Round! This will remove damage and any possible negative effect from that roll!

Hour 2, Round 1 (High Alt)
(Added +5HP from Weyrleader at changeup. Also have one status save)
1. 14) The thread is thick and coming down fast. Unlike the lower wings, you don't have to chase this Thread around -- it's just about everywhere you turn! This is what your dragon was made for, this is what you, as a rider, were meant to do. Burn down those Threads so they are no longer a threat to your wingmates and the people of Pern! Your dragon flames a patch ahead of them, clearing some airspace for your wingmates below. +1 Flame Length

Ash'il could feel the wind picking up, he also knew his bronze was doing his best to stay in place. Even though he was bigger than some, it seemed to be a struggle even for Iptoneth. His rider could feel the strain in his wings, but also the determination of not letting Pern down. He patted Iptoneth's neck lovingly, letting him know he was proud of him.

We have to keep going. No wind is going to get the best of me,Iptoneth thought.

Ash'il was so very proud of his bronze as Iptoneth continued to flame down any Thread that came close. He knew the more they could reduce to ash, the less trouble there would be for their wing and those below them. He was glad they could do their part to keep everyone safe.

It means less chance of us losing anyone else this Threadfall too. At least, we can hope so,Iptoneth spoke.

Ash'il should have known their luck wouldn't hold out for long. As he noticed a clump heading their way, he got Iptoneth to jump Between to miss it. He thinks of a location that should allow them to avoid it and they pop back, only to find a nasty surprise. It seemed the wind had moved the clump and a cry came from both of them as they ended up right in the middle of it. He thinks enough to Iptoneth for the bronze to hop back Between, to kill the Thread that might have attached to them. When they return, both of them are still in some pain.

Hopefully..that will be the end of it for awhile,Iptoneth managed to get out.

Ash'il felt a little frustration, when it seemed the wind was not done with them yet. He felt it pick up again, trying to push them out of formation. He was glad that Iptoneth had been able to keep in place, but it didn't stop a very nasty surprise. Some Thread was blown right into Iptoneth's side and the bronze roared, before they blinked Between. When they came back out, Ash'il could feel the pain as if it was his own.

Sorry pal, seems the wind is causing all kinds of trouble today,he apologized.

It is okay, not your fault. We will just have to be a bit more careful,Iptoneth responded.

24-42. If a Wingleader, you were so focused on chewing out one of your wingriders who pulled a stupid move, that you actually miss catching a large clump of Thread that's falling right past you. A nearby wingmate winds up taking the hit -- as they were busy flaming a different clump of Thread and hadn't time to notice. Quote a Single Wingmate and have them lose -5 HP! If a Wingsecond you actually are on top of things today! You're here to look out for your wingmates and your Wingleader, and in this case, you manage to do both! Quote your Wingleader, fellow Wingsecond, or Wingrider and nullify any negative effects & negative HP from their most recent roll! This can include Wingleader/Wingsecond rolls!

The wind is strong and trying hard to buffet you. If brown or bronze you see one of your wingmates struggling against the wind. They're getting blown out of their empty airspace, and dangerously close to a patch of Thread! You are able to twist and accurately flame down the clump they were going to fly into, saving them from Threadscore! Quote a Wingmate that took Threadfall Damage and nullify it! You saved them from the pain! +1 Flame Length

Up high was always rough, the stronger winds blowing Thread about wildly and even a dragon as large and as sturdy as Cordrath could have a hard time of it.

So it was to no surprise that a wingmate was having some difficulty, Cordrath able to move to flame an offensively close patch of Thread to keep them from finding an unfortunately scored hide.

M'nr had just been thinking the winds were a lot for even Cordrath and as if to prove him right, a particularly nasty gust blew the bronze out of formation, sending both dragon and rider reeling with surprise. Simply getting back into position was exhausting - and this was a bad place to be exhausted.

A successful jump meant less singed dragon hides, and while Cordrath was tired, M'nr praised him for the good jump as he patted his shoulder.

The thread is thick and coming down fast.

It was thick up here, and that made it easier for even a tired dragon like Cordrath to flame down abundant amounts of Thread. We still have some time to go, Cordrath. Are you feeling any better? M'nr asked, able to feel it without asking, but still pushing Cordrath to respond.

Barely.

Nothing to flame quite yet, which is almost a miracle in this sort of Threadfall. Still, you're able to relax a moment, look around, and take note of your airspace. All's well... for now.

It was clear, for now, which meant Cordrath had a bit more time to get the deep breaths in. M'nr rubbing a palm along a wing shoulder adoringly. He was a sturdy beast. It would take more than the wind to knock him out of the game for long.
