As she closed the last few feet of distance between her and her elusive quarry, Dani all but laid down along the length of her broomstick, and reached her hand out.

'And it disappeared,' Dani thought, as she jinked her broomstick to one side to avoid plowing into one of the goal posts. As intent as she was on her pursuit, she nearly forgot about the surrounding terrain. Using her considerable speed to her advantage, Dani converted it into altitude, turning and climbing to stay in-bounds.
As she started her search anew, she noticed Julius was roughly still where she remembered seeing him last. 'His luck isn't much better than mine,' she thought with a sigh. 'Here we go again.'

As Dani hovered above the pitch, she saw Julius start flying in a particular direction. 'He must have finally spotted something,' she thought. 'Maybe if I follow him I might spot it myself.'

Dani continued to try spotting the Snitch, while Julius was apparently chasing after something, even if she couldn't figure out what it was. Whatever good fortune she'd had earlier in the match seemed to have been spent in her first effort, for what had been easy before now seemed impossible for her.
As well as the day had started for her, she was starting to feel a pull of certain inevitability as how this match would end for her.
