"Good idea." Joshua nodded and followed Katalina out of the caverns. He felt the blush return as he realized that Tianara couldn't swim and cloak herself. He kept his gaze averted from her form. Outside the cavern, he twisted to look up at the distant surface. He found it a rather pretty sight from this depth. One could see the light reflecting off the surface.

Tianara looked up at the light above, and caught her breath. Moved and fascinated, she stared up at it, just floating in the water. "Beautiful," she whispered, even as she blinked quickly to keep her eyes from hurting. Forgetting herself, she turned to smile at Joshua. "Isn't it? Have you seen it like this before?" she asked.
Katalina looked over her shoulder at the three of them, and grinned. She gestured her brother forward so they could talk, and stopped completely so that Tianara could have time to really look.

Joshua sighed and smiled. He glanced at Tianara before quickly looking away. "It is beautiful. It looks much like this every time I dive, yet I never get tired of it." He watched the shifting patterns on the surface. Though it was the same effect whenever he saw it, it was always shifting and changing. "It's never quite the same twine."

Mac headed out of his home and started towards the beach. The breeze was gentle and alluring. Briskly he walked past all the shops and people, keeping his mind set on his task: he was going to collect shells today. His purpose was to add to his collection he kept in his room. He wore sandals as the sand would ruin his regular shoes. He finally made it to the beach, and his eyes glimmered with the reflection of the ocean.

Walking onto the beach, he noticed a perfect shell. He ran up to it and brushed the sand off. It was a small golden yellow nautilus shell that fit in the palm of his hand. He was amazed he found such a treasure, and he quickly pocketed it. Standing up, he looked into the ocean's horizon and felt unsettled a bit.

((Joshua, Katalina and Nezik went to go visit one of the merclans. They currently just left the cavern and are slowly making their way back along with new addition of Tianara.))

A strange presence emerged. Mackenzie didn't feel right. It was almost like De ja vu, and the feeliing disturbed him to no end. He looked down and saw a large, slim, pole-like piece of drift wood about as tall as him. He picked it up and shook the sand off it. It appeared to be like a staff, so he kept it to walk around the beach with.

Just then, Mac felt a presence behind him. He looked back, and saw this beast the size of a dog jump at him. Quickly he swerved out of the way, not knowing what this was, he started anlyzing the creature. It landed, and turned back again facing Mac again. The creature looked like a crustaecian of some kind: it had a hard outer shell and several limbs. It proceeded to charge again, but Mac was ready this time. He quickly took the staff and slammed it into the beast. He felt bad for having to do this, but this thing was trying harm him. The beast flew back and fell to the ground, and it twitched slightly, the blow was enough to crush its shell. Mac knew he did too much damage to let it die slowly, so he went up to it and did a final blow. But the strangest thing happened, it dispersed into red embers and dust. Mac was confused and shocked, this has never happened before.

((OOC: In a four-person roleplay, it's natural for things to slow down a bit. It's all right. I was sort of busy watching all my friends graduate and arranging a party for them. Also attending a horse show. >.<))
Tianara looked at Joshua, a bit confused. "So it's always like this?" she mused softly. "But when it's so lovely - how can humans survive on land? Are there things as pretty as this up there, on the surface?" She asked it as though she was sure he would say no, that there was nothing that beautiful and she should do her damnedest to stay underwater where she belonged.
Katalina and Nezik traded brief glances when they heard the two behind them talking. They didn't need to talk about it - they knew one another well enough to handle this almost with body language alone. A lift of the brow. She's gonna need help. A tiny nod. A lot of it. A worried glance back. Who can we ask? A shrug. Dunno. They would talk about it later with Narcis and Caralei, but for now they left it at that.

((Like I said, Shadow would post when she gets time. Did you have fun at the grad party and horse show?))
Joshua shrugged, glancing at Tianara. "The sea is amazing but few humans bother to pay attention to it. Most of them are too caught up in their lives. I'm not like most humans." Sighing, his gaze drifted back to the surface. He continued to speak without looking at her. "There's beauty everywhere if you simply know how to look. The land has it's own lure, different from the sea. It's just so different. You can't really compare the two."
