The only reason I find it addicting is because I don't have another, better MMO to play. Runescape doesn't interest me anymore because I lost my membership, I have a grudge against WoW, and also EverQuest, then all the other ones I am somewhat interested in cost money that I don't have.
So, personally, an MMO on a website that's mainly used for FORUMS AND CHATTING is pretty kick-butt. Besides, the enemies are too adorable and need to be beaten to a bloody pulp. biggrin

I agree with Skrat. I am super addicted to zOMG. whee I've been saving up gold for it for so long! And it's really fun to just wander aimlessly with friends and hunt down monsters.
Though I like how Fluffs won't attack you unless you deal the first blow, well the Sakura fluffs don't anyway. whee Sometimes I just like to sit there and watch them hop around in all their cuteness.

...I still don't understand you guys and finding it addicting...might be because I'm just used to WoW and EQ. Hell, even Guild Wars is better than Zomg...
I mean, who the hell thought that Zomg would've been a good name? and then there's the fact you're wearing your items, but you can't use them -_-

Yeah, it's pretty decent for a free MMO, I think. At least I don't have to download it onto my computer or anything. Much less pay for any of it, yet.
But. . . I'm not really one to criticize and compare MMOs, since I'm primarily a relaxed offline gamer. neutral
Edit.: Being able to use the items that you're currently wearing would cause mass amounts of butthurt among newer users and everyone knows it. I'm not really too bummed out by it, though. I kinda like the rings system.

Well, yeah, I do dislike how clothing and items and such don't rank your level. That was a big turn off for me. I also disagree with the name, but it's not so much the name that makes the game. Like, Runescape is kind of a retarded name, but the game kicks butt, when played right.
Once you get passed lv40 without Membership though it gets kind of boring.
Anywho, I just play it because it's something to play with Reiku. We've been wanting a good MMO to play for a while.

Guild Wars isn't totally free. You still have to buy the software and install it on your computer. There's no membership fee which is freakin awesome, but you still have to buy something to play it. zOMG is 100% free blaugh
Sure there are better MMO's out there, but that's not the point for me. whee For me it's a way to hang out with all my friends on Gaia, and go on adventures with them. Yeah I know that's corny, but it's a fun way to hang out with my friends. 3nodding
And while it does kinda stink that clothing and items don't do anything, it does put everyone on a more even level right off the bat. 3nodding I mean, it would kinda suck if everyone with an OMG hat got some super crazy upgrade that nobody else could have.

-_- having to buy software is irrelevant....besides, that's just a one time thing. WoW was costing me $70 a year, and then there were those expansions.
and there's nothing wrong with being a step above the other players.
I had the WoW special edition, which was like $100, and I got all kinds of cool benefits that the regular players didn't get.
