Sanzoskitsune hiya Tsuji we actually finally managed to rent Schindler's list to watch tomorrow... I saw Schindler's List in a completely full 350-seat auditorium... and you could have heard a pin drop through the whole picture. It's very powerful. Heh... that was the year that Philadelphia, Schindler's List, and Shadowlands were all up for the best picture, and a couple friends and I decided we'd do a marathon... we made it through Philadelphia and Shadowlands, which are both, ah, draining movies... After the two of those, we dragged ourselves out of the theater and said, "Let's just go home and slit our wrists now..." Great movies, but not exactly uplifting, any of them. sweatdrop

Heh, well I'll have to make sure none of my other relatives have that covered already sweatdrop Cuz then I wouldn't be special~ (My uncle's got Peach Cobbler down...though he hasn't made it in years stare And one of my mom's cousins makes really good lemon bars ...I'm getting hungry just typing this >.> *grabs gum to alleviate hunger*)
EDIT: ...*adds Schindler's List to my mental list of movies to rent in the future >.>*

I like the "let's slit our wrists now" reaction to be honest xd I found the movie to be amazing though, watched it in my high school history class actually, people ACTUALLY paid attention

It's very gripping. The very, VERY sparing use of color was very effective.

oh yeah, that was one of the things that made me love it, just how powerfully they got their message across... and of course Schindler himself was just awesome

Sanzo: Have you seen Philadelphia and Shadowlands? If not, I highly recommend them both. (If you HAVE, can you imagine watching them back-to-back, and then watching Schindler's List right after them? [We were only able to make it through Philadelphia and Shadowlands])

I vaguely remember hearing the titles, but don't know anything about them. In fact, I'm so vague on it, that I may just be manifesting a memory... [edit] Have I told you guys how much I love LICD?

LICD is fantastic. Philadelphia is the story about Tom Hanks as a lawyer with AIDS. Shadowlands is about author CS Lewis and his relationship with an american and her son. Telling you any more about them, other than the fact that they both were quite worthy of best picture as well as Schindler's List, would be giving too much away. And the last panel of this made me laugh. Hard. mrgreen
