The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Aleera, finished packing now, pushed the curtains aside to reveal a large window seat. She propped herself up, sitting on the cushions as she stared out the window. Her window overlooked the back entrance of the castle, where stone met forest. She stared absently at nothing, thinking and planning the next couple days. The tiger that should be....isn't....

Akila continued to climb the stairs...until she found herself standing on the roof of the castle. The wind whipped her hair in her face, and her dress around her legs. It was s beautiful! The forest. She watched a bird flying to the distance, and looked to the forest ledge. She wondered vaguely if, were she to step off this ledge, if the Earth would welcome her with open arms as it used to. Whether it would soften beneath her grasp...or would that end it all? No....she couldn't think like that. She didn't want to. It wasn't THAT bad. Still, she couldn't make herself look away from the forest.....it called to her.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Aleera found herself drifting off into space more and more often, her thoughts not really going anywhere. She shook her head to clear it. The forest was beautiful. Even from this distance and through the glass of the window, it lulled her into a sense of security.
((Sorry. Writer's block. >.< Skip to next day?)) The tiger that should be....isn't....

((sure.))
The next day was almost very much the same. Akila woke to the missing King. Was able to sleep in, and by the time she made herself breakfast, he was there to demand food. Ugh, what a life she was living. She helped the guards pack the carriage, and waited for the King, and Seer, to arrive in the courtyard.

Aleera woke groggily, wondering where she was. Because she wasn't in bed, that was for sure. It took her awhile to realize just what was going on. She'd managed to fall asleep at her window. Seeing how high the sun was, she realized she was running late. Quickly, she yanked a brush through her long hair and dressed. She bypassed breakfast, hurrying to the courtyard where the carriage was waiting. As she entered the courtyard, she slowed down, trying to look like she hadn't been rushing around.

"Good morning, M'am." Akila bowed stiffly, looking as if she hadn't moved from her spot in hours, "The King will be joining you in just a moment." She spoke softly, and opened the door for Aleera.
Clorogne was hooking some sacks to his belt, before entering the courtyard. The maids and servants bowed at his feet as he passed and he smiled, getting into the carriage.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Aleera barely glanced at the girl, giving only the faintest of nods to acknowledge the bow. She felt sorry for how stiff Akila looked, wishing she could do something. Instead, she climbed into the carriage and waited. It wasn't more than a minute later when the king joined her. She smiled welcomingly at him. "Good morning Sire. I trust you slept well?" The tiger that should be....isn't....

"Indeed. That I did." Clorogne smiled, and sat across from her, "It's going to be a long ride...I hope you are prepared." He tugged Akila up and into the carriage, also. She shut the door with ease. The King looked pointedly to the floor of the carriage, and that was where Akila sat, even curling up into a small feline ball.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Aleera pulled out a small book. "I can prepared, Sire." She said with a smile. "I figured it wouldn't be just a short jaunt." She settled back against the seat, crossing one leg over the other, showing off her long legs. Flipping open the book, she began reading. The tiger that should be....isn't....

Clorogne was a bit distracted by her legs for little more than a moment, before, pulling out a bunch of papers which he continued to read and scratch at it with a quil. The ride was long, and bumpy, and the air was hot and stale.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Aleera eventually gave up on her reading. It was just too hot to concentrate on it, especially with all the bumps and jolts. Instead, she used her book to fan herself, staring blankly at the wall. 'Man, he wasn't kidding when he said it would be a long ride. Does it have to be so hot? How is Markus going to hide out here in the desert? There's practically nothing here.' The Seer's thoughts skipped from subject to subject. The tiger that should be....isn't....

Akila somehow still slept on the ground, making soft thud noises every time they went over a thud. Clorogne finished writing up papers about an hour earlier and now he sat staring out the window. The air wavered in the growing heat.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Aleera leaned back in the seat, trying to sleep. It wasn't working though, so she spoke up instead. "Remind me again why we must suffer this heat?" She asked in a slow drawl, as if she couldn't be bothered to talk faster. She kept her eyes closed as she spoke, trying to ignore the heat. The tiger that should be....isn't....

"We will be staying out here to meet a few comrades of mine." Clorogne spoke softly. The humidity was more than annoying and he spoke calmly as if joking...or maybe he was joking, "You could take off some of that clothing. It might help."

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... "Maybe." Aleera said softly, as if seriously considering it. "I don't think I have anything light to change into though." She opened her eyes, glancing down and tugging at the heavy material of her skirt. "I may have to go shopping while we're here, find some lighter clothes." The tiger that should be....isn't....
