Sharding. Wind. It would be the absolute end of him. Cyliodath scrubbed a foreleg over his snout, to help sooth the burn of ash - on top of thread score. Salt in the miserable wound. Despite his grievances, he was numb enough to the injury after a few minutes.

Burning with fury, pain blazing through his scored hide, it was no surprise that flame erupted from Cyliodath forcefully. It was a small clump of thread, burning to beyond ash and soot in the spout of fire. At least that thread wouldn't be able to hurt anyone, now would it? Feeling more than a bit pleased with himself Cyliodath returned he and J'er to their spot in their wing.

First the loss of Lireloth and then both Rixth and Nioweth fell from the sky. It reminded the pair of their own terrible tumble, the only time that they'd ever fallen and the loss of sight and mobility that it had brought with it. There was a solid ache in Tarmath's heart for her fellow Trespassers wingmates, but all she could do was fight on with all the stamina that she always possessed in droves.

I Need Some Firestone!
In the process of dodging and rolling and being scored, some of the firestone Z'rai had first loaded onto Kaloth must have tumbled off. That would explain why he found them lacking now. It was a simple thing to have Kaloth relay a request for more, and when Z'rai spotted Kvenja and Ophoreth headed in his direction, he heaved a sigh of relief. Those two were known to have steady hands, and they proved the rumors true when the toss was made and easy to catch. Waving a thanks, Z'rai got back to the business of fueling Kaloth's fire.

Being in the lower wing was a relief for the last half of their time up, Aly was a little more relaxed at least. Tarmath never truly relaxed until she was back on the ground and back to her normal soothing self. In the air she was an angry force and though there wasn't as much that she could scorch down with her flame down here, she was still going for it as best she could. One strand was just a bit too close though and sent stinging ash back into their faces.

Clumps were raining down into the lower wing as the winds picked up and made the upper wings hell on Pern. Tarmath at least was ready, having come from the mid wing and she surged forward to catch a few.

Ash blew back into their faces again as Tarmath scorched yet another trail of thread away. Her flame wasn't the longest and the large green wasn't as agile as some of the smaller members of her color but at least the sting of ash didn't bother her as much as some either. Shaking her head vigorously she surveyed the skies through one blood red eye.

As if to prove Alythrae wrong about her dragon's own agility, Tarmath whisked the pair of them out of the way of a long silver strand and twisted acrobatically, flaming it down with ease. There was a smug feeling radiating in the blonde's chest that came directly from her giant green but she just let her have her moment, knowing there was danger still all around them. Some confidence was good.

Mereketh was nothing if not agile, and able to dodge and roll when he needed to do it. In the case of wind currents that seemed to be enjoying playing with him, he and H'sau were grateful he could twist and turn on a quartermark. It was coming in handy today. This time, Mereketh's acrobatics didn't serve him quite as well. When the wind whipped the cluster they were chasing back at him, he didn't quite make it out of the way. Thread scored a minor win, searing a burn against the little while's chest before he popped Between again.

For every wingflap forward, there was a gust that pushed them backward, or so it seemed. Today's Fall was certainly taking its toll, and not just on Z'rai and Kaloth. Another clump of Thread had falln from above and though they did their best to dodge, it blew into Z'rai's calf and trailed over Kaloth's hide. A quick jump Between froze the mass, but it was another aching throb to add to the tally the pair fought through.
