When he heard the door start to open, Kai went to wait at the top of the stairs for them. "I would like to say that I am never babysitting again. At least not for Aunt Milly. That is all, and good night." he said before promptly returning to his room without letting them respond.

Mala blinked a couple times in surprise at the outburst before finally asking, "Is this as not-so-unexpected from him for you as it is for me?" {Will you ask? I don't really know how to word it right now. >.< Plus, my compy still has that virus.}

As if on cue, Kai poked his head out to look back downstairs. "At least without pay." He disappeared again. And then reappeared. "Double for Aunt Milly." Another brief disappearance then reappearance. "Depends on the pay." Last disappearance.
((Ah yes, that nasty virus. I hope you get that cleared up soon. >.< And now I don't know how to word the message either. sweatdrop ))

Mala chuckled. "Oh, you can say THAT again!" she agreed, going on to close their door once she and Van were both inside. After all, she planned on changing out of her uncomfortable - if flattering - dress and into a far less confining nightie.
