 Joshua stopped before entering the cabin. He gestured for the others to enter and opened the door. He himself stayed outside, shedding his scuba gear. The inside of the cabin was plain, just a single room. A bed was tucked in one corner, the other corner having an eating area.

Tianara, too, looked up at the stormclouds gathering. As they began to head back towards Joshua's shelter, she finally found the space to answer Mac's question. "Not hardly, although it would definitely be an interesting experience," she replied, sounding almost wistful. She saw no harm in answering it, after all, as long as she didn't answer truthfully.
She looked back at the stormclouds once before following Joshua back to his cabin. Her experience with storms was nil, and she wanted to see at least a little of this one. The clouds were dull and sulky, a deep grey that threatened to turn to black at any minute.
They were fascinating.

Joshua finished shedding the gear, setting it in a small covered area outside the cabin. He glanced up at Tianara and smiled. It occurred to him that would never have seen a storm like this before. The deeper waters usually went untouched by most storms. "Come on Tianara. You can watch the storm from inside, where it's safe."

Tianara glanced over her shoulder at him and a shy smile brightened her face. "Oh. Right. Sorry," she murmured, turning back towards the cabin as she spoke. "Sometimes I just get...caught up." It wasn't exactly code, but she knew Joshua would understand what she meant by that, while Mac - if he was listening - would not.
She tucked her still-wet dark hair behind her ear, and walked into the cabin. On land, it was more evident that she was a very attractive example of the human species - whether this was natural or influenced by mermagic was debatable. Glancing back, she grinned at Joshua and asked, "So, aren't you coming in?"

Mac started to view outside. "I don't think its harmful, looks like ordinary rain" he said. His smile had returned. He looked all around the place, and it was perfect. He always wanted to be inside a small sea shack.

Joshua chuckled and entered the cabin, closing the door behind him. "I'm coming. I just had to make sure my gear was stored properly. It can take a little rain, but if it becomes a bad storm then I'd rather not loose that gear. It's better to be safe than sorry." He shrugged, directing his words to both of them. He saw Mac looking around and suddenly became self conscious. "It's not much. Just a plan to wait out the rain."

"I like it," replied Tianara, looking surprised that Joshua felt the need to apologize for it. "It's nice. Did you build it yourself?" If so, the boy had an aptitude for building that she never would have suspected.
More interested in his talk about his gear, she inquired, "But it's meant to take water, isn't it? Why shouldn't it take a storm?" Realizing too late that she wasn't supposed to be able to swim without it, either, she said as though explaining to both of them, "I mostly stay in the shallower areas - I can't remember the last time I went deep."
Which was true, as far as it went - she had spent most of her time in the shallower areas of the caverns.

Mac looked back at Joshua, "So what do you wana do now?" he asked almost like a child. Mac stood there awaiting what his answer was.

Joshua shook his head. "Not entirely. I had help with building it." He nodded, approving of Tianara's explanations. It was good thinking. He ran one hand through his pale hair. "A storm would be bad for the gear because of the winds. Rain is nothing. When the winds start up though, they can throw things around. Being tossed around without care can damage or even destroy the crucial parts."
He glanced at Mac when he spoke up. "Um...I'm not sure I have much we can do." Joshua said apologetically. "I'm not at this place often enough to worry about things like that. I'm more often in the water."

"I'm more in the water myself as well" Mac said back to him. Mac remembered his pole he found as a staff at that moment. He felt urgent to get it back, as it was sturdy, and he did like to keep odd things he found in the ocean. "Umm... I need to get something" he quickly went for the door, and walked outside.

Tianara nodded slowly to Joshua's explanations, although she still thought it was impractical to have things that could break in a good strong current. "Okay," she said easily, not going into more detail about it. She lifted a brow as Mac left, but made no move to stop him. Instead, she glanced at Joshua. "If you hear me going into an explanation that would get me in trouble, stop me, okay?" she asked with a wry little smile.

As soon as Mac exited the door, his thoughts became a slur again. He kept walking and by the time he reached the waves caressing his feet, he became light-headed. The weight from walking seemed difficult now. He had all these thoughts race through his head. He began swimming and dove down to look for the pole. Suddenly, something clicked in his head and Mac stopped. Rain did not appear, instead there was a heavy mist floating down from the sky.

Joshua chuckled and nodded. "I will. Don't worry Tianara. You're doing fine." More than fine actually - She was doing really well. He moved to the window, watching Mac outside. 'Wonder what he forgot?' Joshua thought to himself. He watched curiously as Mac began swimming. An odd mist formed, surrounding the cabin and muffling the sounds.

Mac laid motionless in the water and his eyes shut. The thoughts became more transfixed, and suddenly a voice was heard, "awake". Mac didn't have the comprehension to understand it, as he fell into an almost sleep-like state. Instead something began to happen.
His body began emanating a blue color, and some how his voice sounded from below the waves. The voice was somehow different, and it made the most soothing and beautiful tone. The voice became a melody, a melody that moved all souls.

Tianara tilted her head as she stared out the window. "Is this normal for storms?" she asked, frowning. It didn't look entirely natural. "I can barely see anything."

Joshua? Katalina's mental voice demanded all of a sudden. Joshua, your friend's coming into the water, and it seems like something's not quite right with him. She and Nezik were watching Mac's transformation from their safe hiding place. Neither of them had any idea what was going on, and they weren't going to risk coming out if he wasn't actively unconscious.
