Ok, so it breaks down like this: Uranus took and hid the Hecatonchires and Cyclopes in Tartarus so that they wouldn't see the light.
That action pissed off Gaia (the mother of the Hecofanames and Cyclopes).
Cronus (son of Uranus and Gaia) envied Uranus' power.
Gaia convinced Cronus to ambush Uranus.
Cronus attacked Uranus with an "Adamant" sickle, managing to castrate him.
Cronus threw what he... obtained into the sea.
The Gigantes, Erinyes, and Meliae were produced from the blood/semen that fell on the earth.
Aphrodite was formed from his actual member.
