True, Sanzo... and he fell in love with her DESPITE having no voice, not because of it. wink To be honest, it's actually one of Disney's more PC movies; strong female lead, and the only time she really needs help is when the prince sails a ship THROUGH Ursula. If anything, the prince is only there to be pretty eye candy while Ariel is busy getting him to try to fall for her. Until Ursula falls up and bewitches HIM, making it so HE needs to be rescued. ^_^

hiya Agent
and aretoo, I have to disagree while I may be too judgmental on the whole falling in love with no voice thing, I don't see Ariel as some sort of heroine who saved every one or who even saved Eric. I still see her as rather weak. Honestly, the ONLY female Disney character I thought was really a strong female character was Mulan... and if I stretch it Belle from Beauty and the Beast but I'd still need to stretch it

Kingdom Hearts is not part of the original movie so therefore does not count in my eyes. She can kick as much a** as possible in any video game but unless its part of the movie doesn't really mean anything.

I agree so much. Bleh, Disney Princesses are crap. Though Sleeping Beauty takes the cake, she just ******** sleeps through half the thing. Snow White takes a close second... I hate listening to her damn voice.
