It wasn't horrifying, just embarassing. (Not even that bad really)
The most recent was a couple of days ago at the dance. We had danced a couple of songs and had then gone to sit out and cool off. All of a sudden up pops an old friend of my father. He starts with basic small talk, but then quickly goes into grilling us about our relationship. I answer as best I could. (Not that well considering the fast pace that he talks) And all throughout he'd recount old stories or other 'funny' moments in front of her.

At the time it was embarassing, now it seems kindof funny.
