SilentShadowDreamer ((OOC: That was going to play a part later. >.< I don't just randomly mutilate my characters for the fun of it, you know. Fine idea you have of me. I'll post later - I promised someone else I'd post right away, and then I have to get off the computer.)) ((I fixxed it, now she's still hurt))

((OOC: Thanks, darling. heart ))
Tianara sighed. "You are a creature of the water, aren't you?" she asked. "So I'm sure you already know what we want to talk to you about. There are the merfolk. I...I am a human-born daughter of one of the clans. And Joshua is our friend. We can't let them be hurt, Aqua." Without realizing it, her voice had taken on a faintly pleading note. "We just can't. Please, can't you help us?"
If he can sense evil, then they can be protected, and there's nothing to worry about. But if there is, then, well...
Then at least they would have advance warning. Katalina and Nezik were something - they could go around (as best they could, considering Katalina's injuries) and warn the others. But what could the clans do with 'Something bad is going to happen soon'? She didn't even know what she would do with it. Having Aqua, who would know just when, would be a big help.
She could only pray that he would be on their side.

SilentShadowDreamer ((OOC: Thanks, darling. heart )) Tianara sighed. "You are a creature of the water, aren't you?" she asked. "So I'm sure you already know what we want to talk to you about. There are the merfolk. I...I am a human-born daughter of one of the clans. And Joshua is our friend. We can't let them be hurt, Aqua." But what could the clans do with 'Something bad is going to happen soon'? She didn't even know what she would do with it. Having Aqua, who would know just when, would be a big help. She could only pray that he would be on their side. Aqua responded wise and almost angelic, "As the water itself, I'm meant to keep universal balance, but I chose to help on a smaller scale as well. Too many hurtful things I've experienced, but I cannot die...Only the force of Evil itself can shatter my existence, but doing so would end all liquid existence, and the Elements would be imbalanced." Aqua paused a moment. "As of my power, I choose to act on an 'doomsday' scenario, for if I did on other occurances, people would idolize me as a god. I do not intend on people relying on me for everything, but I have the power to do so". Aqua's eyes closed, and then swam upwards a little, "The evil is everywhere and can listen to anything you say or think, and can even manipulate your thoughts and actions into thinking they're your own will. I put a barrier within this area so no evil entities can hear, enter or spy on us, so this cove is protected" Aqua finished.

Joshua stood beside Tianara as she spoke. He nodded, confirming what she'd said. Listening to Aqua's response, he sighed. It looked like they weren't going to get quite the help they'd wanted. Still, the barrier was something. It was better than nothing at least. "Well, at least we can have somewhere safe to meet and plan." He murmured quietly.

Aqua looked forward, "I am done explaining myself now. I must return as Mackenzie, but I will have my powers go through him. You will notice as time progresses. Mackenzie does have a will to help people, and he's not prone to give up easily". Aqua stated. Finally Aqua exuded a blue color again, and transformed back into Mac again. Mac floated in the water, sleepy eyed.

"That's kinda creepy to watch...." Joshua murmured to himself as Aqua reverted back to Mac. He still wasn't sure what to think about everything he'd been told. The only thing he could be sure of was that he wasn't going to let the merfolk be hurt. Not if he could do anything about it.

Opening his eyes, Mac felt a little light headed, he then realized he was breathing water like air. He felt it was a dream, and at the same time a shocking reality. He rose up from the water and surfaced, He looked at Joshua in honesty, "Was I...dreaming?" he asked, but he somehow knew the answer.

Tianara sighed as she watched Aqua turn back into Mac. "Well, I guess that means no," she mused quietly to Joshua as she watched the other boy wake up. She lifted a brow when Mac asked if he'd been dreaming. "If you were, you passed it on to us. Group dreams are slightly less likely, I would assume." She couldn't actually say 'no', because she didn't know what Mac had been experiencing while Aqua had been in the forefront.
She looked out at the water, wondering where Nezik and Katalina had gotten to so far. With all her heart, she wished that they could make it all around the world in time to warn all the seafolk, but she knew better. As fast as they could go when they had to, it still wouldn't be fast enough.

By this time, all the mist had disappeared, and the sky was bright and blue again. Mac looked around in a sense of relearning what has happened. The expression on his face seemed to be heavy, and he suddenly looked up as if remembering something, "So...something bad's going to happen?". He turned his view to Joshua, "I'll help in anyway I can..." he said.

Tianara smiled sadly. "According to your other self, you already have," she said quietly, staring off into the distance and worrying about her family. She shouldn't be here among the humans. She had to be with them. But they had sent her here, and she would do more good protecting them here than there. And yet it felt disloyal to be here when her family was in danger.
Why could things never be easy? she wondered wearily.

((Sorry. Was on a trip. Going on another. XD ))
Joshua shook his head. "I wish it had been a dream. Then they'd still be safe." He murmured quietly. Sighing, he looked out over the calm waters. "We'll do whatever it takes." His voice was filled with determination. Even pacifists like Joshua would stand up if they had something precious. And what was more precious than the sea and it's people? He glanced at Tianara, seeing the look on her face. It was obvious she was worried about her family. He wrapped on arm around her shoulders. "It'll be okay. You'll see. We won't let anything happen to them."

((OOC: Have fun!))
Tianara smiled up at him, grateful for his support. As thin and weary as it was, it still managed to light her face. "I know," she said softly, a strange inflection in her voice. "We'll do what we can. But if it's not enough, what then?" She stared out at the ocean again, to disguise the sudden surge of terror. "There are so many, Joshua. So many. Nezik and Sorry can't warn them all."
There were many merfolk, yes, and many other creatures that would probably stand with the merfolk should war come, but there were more humans. "There are more humans," she repeated aloud. "So many more." They would probably go after the ones in the open ocean first, and the ones who were hidden and harder to find would take a little longer. But eventually, her family would come to light.
"There are children," she breathed. "Some of them are just children." It was the nature of some humans to nurture and protect, wasn't it? To care for those who couldn't care for themselves. Perhaps there would be other humans, willing to stand with her and Joshua and Mackenzie against a war.

Mac looked up at them, "Hey, don't freak out. I've been known to have crazy things happen, but they always end up good" he said reassuringly. He got out of the water and looked onward, "Many things will happen, but we have to keep going. Worrying about things won't get us anywhere. I always think about the positive, and I choose what I want to happen".

((I be back now! ^_^ ))
Joshua glanced at Mac, then at Tianara. "He's right. Worrying won't help. Planning will though." He sat down on the rock, staring at the waters. Tianara's words had made him think of something. It was just the beginning of a thought but as he stared into the water, it grew. Slowly, he spoke. "I think....Tianara might be on to something. Children. Young ones. People will sometimes do things for children that they won't normally do. We need to appeal to the softer side of people. The merfolk just want to be left alone to raise their children. And if you take a step back and get over the whole tail thing, then humans and merfolk are more alike than they think......" The whole time he spoke, Joshua didn't look up from the water. Mostly, he was just thinking aloud.
Sighing, he glanced up at the other two. "What do you think? There's gotta be others who don't want to fight. Others who can see how special the merfolk are. And how kind they can be. After all, they raised you Tianara and, no offense or anything, but you aren't even the same species as them. They had to go through a lot of trouble to keep you, yet they did."
