I have a question for everybody. About an hour ago, my dog got a hold of some chicken bones and ate them. For those that don't know, bird bones are deadly for dogs. They can splinter in the intestine and punch holes. Now, we've called the vet and spoke to him, and looked up some stuff online. I'm asking if anyone knows something that we have not found, any advice.

EDIT: Roland: Actually, any cooked bones are bad for dogs, but if it's uncooked then it's fine. But otherwise, I don't know. razz

I think at this point, Rol, you pretty much have to wait and see. Hopefully he passes them safely. I'd suggest laxatives, but that may force the bone fragments through more violently than you want...

Well, we give her the bones whenever we have ribs, those are too big her to chew up. So far, we have given her bread to cushion her stomach. so now we wait.
Anyways, what's up with everyone else?

What did the vet suggest? I mean, at this point I'm not sure what you can do, except monitor him very closely. Feed him soft foods over the next few days, maybe. Cooked (then cooled) rice or bread or something.

The vet only suggested we watch her. We looked online, and found people saying to feed her bread. So yeah, just watching her is the gameplan right now. Looks like I'm in for a long night, so I had to drudge through my library and find a book.
EDIT: Awesome, isn't it? Erve posted this and my sig was the first thought I had. The pain was having to use MS paint to make it.
