Tell me, exactly what does freedom mean...

@Sanzo: There is an idiot in the ED that is convinced that swords require absolutely no skill or practice to wield xd

...if I'm not free to be as twisted as I want to be?

That is as common a belief as the belief that it takes no practice to handle a gun... >.>

Oh hey hey Roland, you ever seen a pic of me? cause I posted some up in the post your pic thread, its the last post in the second to last page

edit: @Lazycommie, well that's my point, most idiots feel they can just pick up a gun and use it and no matter what hints to the contrary they still try it.

As for the killing someone closer causing psychological effects... that's what makes it cooler O_O yeah I'm ******** up in the head

Most of the idiots who do, find out that it does take skill and wind up eventually educating themselves and becoming proper shooters. Them trying it is a good thing. It makes for more shooters. Take Joe Random 15 year old dumbass, give him a .22. In a week or two, you are apt to have a decent shooter if you let him practice a couple of times.

@ Roland: It's as disappointing as people who say "it takes no skill to do [insert thing here]" The prattlings of idiots.

Yay for swords? I'm actually taking a fencing class right now ^.^

And yay for guns too? I've always kinda wanted to know what it feels like to fire one (I'd settle for a handgun though. No need for the big ol' rifles). A friend of mine actually took a class-ish thing that included having them go to a firing range and all that. I was kinda-sorta envious of her for like 5 minutes before realizing, 'Oh wait. I'm in freakin' Texas. I can just walk up to someone on campus and have them show me how to fire a gun if I wanted XD'

Which weapon are you focusing on, Invis?

And, to be honest, it's easier to shoot a rifle than a handgun.

No, I had never seen a picture of teh Sanzo before. Tis pwetty pwetty.

Anyway. This dude is a moron. I actually read his whole OP, and it was actually quite funny. He has a post from a very good friend of mine who I know in person in his Opening Post. But his whole thing is that (somehow, in his messed up head) Sword are a honorless weapon.

About the closeness thing. If I am ever mad enough at a person that I really want to kill them, I want to be there to feel the life drain from their body. Yeah, I'm screwed up in the head too.

Rifles are much easier to learn on than handguns, and also build the skills that make a person a good shooter with anything. Once you have the fundimentals down it's pretty much just leaning towards whatever you shoot best.

Really? Huh...
Yeah I've got to try shooting one of these days >.>

Oh and we're just learning Foil Fencing, Tsuji.

@Lazycommie, I honestly think you're giving people too much credit there and I'm actually not that keen on more people out there being shooters and having guns, makes me uneasy. I'm ******** up in the head but in the end I'm a pacifist so... yeah avoid of guns and any weaponry, for me having a sword is purely for decoration purposes.

@Invis ooh a fencing class? sounds pretty cool, the outfits to those classes look cool too

@Roland *bows* tanki tanki and what's his reasoning as to swords being honorless weapons? I figure they're the most honorable what with you having to face your opponent face to face and all.

I saw that post. When I read it, I got the feeling it was intended as satire.

Honor is subjective. IMO, doing what needs to be done is honorable, regardless of the tools you use to do it, whatever it may be.

If I wanted to kill someone, I'd probably just pick them off from a distance. I have no desire to screw myself up, plus when I get angry I don't get hotblooded and irrational, I get cold and precise. I don't want to kill anyone though.

I'm going by what I've personally seen at ranges and the like. Usually the younger a person is, the faster they will take to it and develop necessary skills to do it right, although anyone can learn to do it well. It's almost automatic. Shooting is "easy to learn, hard to master".

I'm a technical pacifist. I don't support random acts of violence, but I hold to the idea of "an armed society is a polite society", something which is shown throughout history. When screwing with someone could earn you a bullet, you're more apt to be a reasonable and good person. It keeps people in check better.
