Oh! On floor 8? You can take the shortcut, I think.. It counts as both I think..

I was asking about the key I got for rolling an 8. Do I roll again or go to floor 6 using that 8?

to get the treasure in the chest you have to beat the boss on floor 10 and then go back to floor 1 and then when you are @ floor 4 you can use the key and open the chest. The reason it is hard is because locked chests have expensive things in them.

Assuming that I didn't have to roll again, I'm now on floor 7.

WTF? I got a three last post. I look behind the torch and see nothing... Can I keep the torch? It might prove useful in a dark underground adventure.
