Roll: 11 - You check in on your dragon to ensure they're doing all right. Thankfully, your dragon responds that they're feeling fine. All that training and practicing is coming full circle, as your dragon isn't feeling particularly fatigued. If your dragon isn't suffering, you are allowed to quote a fellow wingmate (must be in your same wing) who is suffering the effect! Your dragon trumpets at them encouragingly, making them feel better, and giving them a renewed burst of energy and effort. Remove Fatigue Effect from one wingmate! HP: 20/20 Status Effect: None. They were in the latter half of their time fighting, and L’an took a moment to check in with Alcherath. As expected, she responded brightly that she was just fine—she had seen a very pretty lake far below, and the wind moving some trees, and weren’t the clouds ahead so pretty too? On a whim the green turned to the dragon next to her in formation—Mazamath, look how those clouds are forming up. Doesn't that one look a bit like a wherry...? I would like some wherry for dinner, I think... L'an says it goes well with redberry sauce, but he won't let me try any, and... She rambled on, perhaps annoyingly in her dreamy, scattered way... but perhaps also slightly endearing, even a welcome distraction from the battle, a moment of mental respite for the blue.

Without warning Alcherath banked, opening her maw to flame at... nothing? No! She’d somehow anticipated a sliver of thread appearing, and before they even really saw it, it was gone!

Roll: 18 - Your dragon spots a few clumps of thread being blown about in front of them. If white, green, or blue, they manage to catch a pocket of air and surge forward, flaming down two of the three clumps, before dropping hard and getting the third. No thread's slipping through on your watch! [+3 Target Accuracy!] HP: 20/20 Status Effect: None. XP: Agility +12, B. Accuracy +1, Stamina +2, Luck +2, T. In a show of skill totally at odds with their utterly relaxed attitude, the little green caught a wind and launched herself ahead, beelining for thread and belching flame. Two strands went up in smoke, but the third dropped through... until the green simply folded her wings, tipped forward, and plummeted. One more burst of fire ended it, and then a quick hop between back to position, as if nothing at all had happened.

Roll: 6 - A strong gust of wind suddenly pushes you off course and right into a sliver of Thread! f you're a blue or green, you wind up twisting easily out of the way, flaming it down successfully! Once again wind grabbed the green, tossing her towards thread... but she just wasn't having it. No thank you, not today. As if she were only casually moving aside, and not ducking away from deadly parasitic rain, the green bobbed away from the strand... and then yawned. All this excitement was tiring.
Loteth was relieved to be headed down to the lower Altitude with the changing of the wings. It would give him time to recoup his strength for the final change when he would be up among the thickest of thread, however the winds would not be any easier to deal with, though less Thread was nice.
So distracted was he that, when Nyssa was feeding him firestone, he bit his tongue, he flinched in pain but was glad he had managed to chew the firestone he needed for the moment.... ouch....

Loteth winced again as his tongue twinged, but a shout from his wingmate had him refocusing "Thank you Beylith!" he called, his thoughts came with a smile, he was grateful to the the other brown, he had to focus, push through it. He hoped to repay the favour.

Because he was focused on thanking Beylith, he ended up biting his tongue again. He felt bad as well as in pain now, because the other brown had only been trying to help. He managed to keep on course during a strong gust of wind that would have blown back a smaller dragon, but he still missed the Thread he had been aiming at.

Status Effect - Tongue Bitten (roll 2/3) Crap, he just flew through one gust of wind, so the next one was unexpected and sudden, blowing him off course as it caught under his wings and lifted him right into a stray strand of Thread, he betweened quickly to shatter it and render it dead but it still hurt like a sonofa.....

Loteth's tongue was starting to ease off and not hurt so much now. He felt pretty stupid for biting it twice in succession....

The wind today was extreme, as it pushed the massive bronze off course. Due to his large, heavy size, Cyndreth was unable to avoid the thread flying at them. The thread grazed the pair, but a quick hop between meant that it was but another scratch from threadfall. They would keep fighting!

A weyrling can quote you and roll from the Weyrling Table to see what happens! If there are no PC weyrlings, feel free to play a semi-retired rider helping out and play out the scene or ping staff for an NPC assist!
They couldn't run out of firestone, so when their supplies grew low, Cyndreth called out towards the weyrlings, ferrying firestone to those flying thread. Firestone! One word was all that was needed, with a flash of information about his location. A weyrling would do their duty...or they would hear from him!
You fly up to the designated rider. Unfortunately, you just can't seem to position yourself where you're confident enough to throw the stone. Worse, there's Thread falling around you, far heavier than down in the weyrling wing, and you can feel yourself suddenly panicking, freezing up... When you do manage to throw the stone, you under throw, and the older rider and dragon have to scramble to catch it. They manage -- barely -- but in their haste to catch the stone, a few slivers of Thread catch the adult rider's wing instead. Quote the Rider In Need and have them take Moderate Damage: -3 HP
A please will get it faster~ Shanaloth almost seemed to tease with a thrum, nudging her rider as they blinked away from their own position again. Hmm, busy busy but it was good exercise at least.
At least until the sudden shift in winds and Threadfall, on top of an unsteady green, made Vetica's toss not quite as on point as she had meant it to be. Shanaloth rumbled unhappily, sending apologetic nudges to Cyndreth that were a touched tinged by her glowing hide. Vetica immediately smothered any additional thoughts sent her own way before forcing the green away.

A please. Cyndreth scoffed. Like there was time for a please in threadfall--there was no time for foolish green-banter, either. Either way, he was grateful at their approach...until the throw was underhanded. Foolish rider, foolish dragon. As he swooped low to allow K'srin to catch it, a strand of thread brushed against his wing. A quick pop between shrugged it off, but Cyndreth all but ignored the green's apologies. Glowing hide or no, her rider should know better. He had no time to worry about them, not right now, but they would get some choice words, when--when you don't snap at them and let me play the room instead, K'srin reminded his dragon. It wouldn't do to give them an earful. Didn't win you any friends that way.

Well, with that taken care of, K'srin fed some stone to his dragon, who whirled to face thread once again. A burst here, a flame there--but the lower altitudes weren't quite as engaging, and K'srin found his mind wandering, just a tad.
Your dragon is effortlessly flaming Thread. Honestly, they almost seem to make it look easy. Both you and your dragon start to feel more confident, and even start to get a bit cocky. Low Altitude Wing was always the easiest wing to fly. Unfortunately for you.... Roll a D4!
