✮ Sɛƈօռɖ Yɛαʀ Gʀʏʄʄɨռɖօʀ ✮ Gid watched Pru catch the quaffle, offering her a thumbs up. He was amazed by the older kids' skill, particularly after having watched them. Sure, they had a bad season last year, but this year would be awesome, no matter what! She grinned at him, and next thing he knew, he was reaching out to grab the quaffle she'd thrown his way. As Dani began pursuit, Chessie swore she saw the shimmer again, but only for a mere instant. She kept on looking, growing increasingly frustrated. This thing was even more difficult than they made it out to be. She knew she’d have to up her game if she was ever going to get a solid lock on her target. Maybe later the older girls would be willing to give her some tips, though it really just seemed like a matter of how good your vision was.

✮ Sɛƈօռɖ Yɛαʀ Gʀʏʄʄɨռɖօʀ ✮ Gid couldn't stop grinning as he drew ever closer to the goals. Last time, Dante had caught the quaffle, so this time, hopefully Gid could make it past him. If not, at least he gave it his best shot. Besides, he'd done perfectly at avoiding steals that time, which was pretty difficult! Chess oversaw Dani’s attempt to grasp the snitch, hoping she’d catch it. At least then she could celebrate vicariously. But the older girl was unsuccessful. It was becoming ever more clear that catching snitches was a tricky business. Chessie flew a little higher, eager for a better vantage point. She only wanted to make a pursuit of her own.

Dani's fingers actually brushed the tiny golden ball, before it darted away from her grasp. Slewing her broomstick first one way, and then another, executing what amounted to a partial flat spin, as she tried to adjust her course to get another shot at the Snitch.
