Kusa and I really want to see Coraline, too... Especially me, as (a) I'm already a Neil Gaiman fan from his days on DC Comic's Sandman series (highly recommended, by the way) and Good Omens, as well as his other novels, (b) I'm an animation fiend, (c) it was filmed here in the Portland area by Laika Studios (formerly Will Vinton ("Heard It Through The Grapevine" commercials) Studios), (d) I would have loved to work on this, and (e) I love well-done 3-D movies. mrgreen
@Tae: He would have had you cut them all off their stems for that! rofl And I know you have a different body clock than most. I think yours is set for the Hawaiian islands. rofl

Sentama Lin You don't know how absolutely chipper I'd end up if I got a dozen roses for valentine's day.
...Even black roses? I'm not sure if they were supposed to be romantic or if he's breaking up with her.
@Tiesel: If he relies on others that much, I'm not surprised. =x One of my cousins is really irresponsible about managing his diabetes, he's been found unconscious in his apartment a bunch of times this year. I have absolutely no sympathy for him, or anyone that's that childish. : ( It sucks though, because no matter how bad they treat others, you don't want them to be seriously ill or to die. That's how they sucker us into taking care of their responsibilities. Frustrating...
@Aretoo: I live in a lonely enough time zone as it is. : ( Aside from Pixie, no one is ever in my time zone. My body definitely says, "it's 2am in the ******** morning!!!", but does my brain go to sleep? No.

They are filming that out here in New Mexico. If you pay close attention during the first one, in the background of the junkyard area there is a cone-shaped building. I watched them demolish that, it was actually an old sawmill.
...if I'm not free to be as twisted as I want to be?

Go. Watch it. Now. NAO. It's only like a little over an hour long anyway. Go. Watch it. GO!
(Sorry, but its one of my favorite movies sweatdrop It's been one of my favorite movies since I was little. I love Jack Skellington to death (or....undeath. Whatever >.>))
Anyway. I kinda wanna see Coraline too, but I can wait until it comes out on DVD. I cheated and read the book synopsis and it seemed awfully interesting so yeah.

Haha, I wanted to see it for similar reasons... (a) Neil Gaiman fan of his work that I've read; (b) Animator...so naturally animation fiend as well; (c) I attended SIGGRAPH while in school and was fascinated with the LAIKA studio booth and what they had set up for Coraline, plus they animated a music video for TMBG; (d) I'm a fan of TMBG! And they do a song for the movie; (e) Stop-motion will never cease to fascinate me; (f) I'm a fan of Henry Selick's work with NBC and James and the Giant Peach.
Didn't get to see Coraline in 3-D, though.... So I plan to see it again... 3nodding

I said to Gonzo that I would NEVER do Valentine's Day apart from with my Husband when I get one it's more special that way. I have NEVER done it. Not even as a Kiddie! so what's he go and do?

I do valentine's every year, giving stuff to friends and family. I've always felt that it was a day to spread love to everyone around you, whether you were dating them or not
@Roland you should try and watch it anyway, you can probably find it online if worse comes to worse. or you know... rent it yourself
