Bethany got down to the pitch and made a beeline straight for the forms. Honestly, the team had been having horrible luck, but thankfully she had been practicing over the summer. Which meant that she'd followed her mum to work and asked for help with training. Her mum was fine with it, even if Eretria was a bit of a task master. Bethany however felt it was good practice for when she got to school, and maybe she might suggest some of the various routines for the team to try. Nodding to herself, she proceeded to stretch after filling out a form and grin at Lia. They were going to crush it this year, and Bethany was going to make sure of it.

Gideon listened as the team captain began her announcements. Sure, he'd have fun just flying around on a real broom, but he thought he might have even more fun winning a quidditch game, or catching the winning snitch. He glanced as his teammates as the anticipation mounted, he wasn't all that worried, just a little nervous. What if he fell or something? Well, they'd probably just take him to the hospital wing. Gideon mounted his broom as the quaffle, snitch and bludgers were released. And as a chaser kicked off almost immediately, he took that cue and ascended into the sky to begin his search.

She agreed that they should have fun, but her competitive nature made her really really want to win. At least just once. As soon as they were split into teams, she finished up her stretches and jumped onto her broom waiting for the snitch to be released and then began her search.

Lucas waved at his mate as he made his way over. “Oh, yeah! Ecstatic!” he exclaimed, showing off his broom. “It was my mum’s when she was in Hogwarts. And she led her team to victory with it,” he stated matter-of-factly. Maybe one day, he would be able to do the same for his house. Just when Luke was about to ask Roland if he was getting a new broom, Mary had begun tryouts. “Looks like we’re on opposite teams. Good luck,” he said, holding out his hand to shake before jumping onto his broom and taking off into the air. The captain hadn’t said anything about how beaters weren’t allowed to aim at seekers, so Lucas decided he’d try and hit Mahalia after it appeared as though she had spotted the snitch.

Before Saffron could even get her hands on the quaffle, she was hit with a bludger. "Oof..." She groaned. She did her best to ignore the pain and push through. Though, it'd probably leave a pretty nasty bruise. Saf somehow managed to pull away with the quaffle, surprising herself, before glancing around. She knew Shui was faster than her, so as she flew toward the goals, she passed the quaffle to the older chaser, though making sure to keep pace just in case he needed the support.
