Mary had to say that she was quite impressed with everyone's efforts at tryouts. However, it would make her and Ilene's decision on who to place where all the more difficult. After a while, Mary called for the mini-game to be placed on halt in order for her to speak to Ilene. Together they worked discussing pros and cons of every decision before decided on a team very similar to last year. Mary was convinced the team was not cursed like many whispered the Hufflepuffs were. No, she was convinced that their hard work would pay off over time.
After discussions with Ilene, Mary walked to the center of the pitch and said, "Alright, I want to thank everyone for their hard work and am happy to announce the team for this year. I look forward to working with all of you. Let's make this our best year yet!"

Lena was a bundle of nervous energy as she set up the table with the sign-in sheets, unpacked the balls and bats, and polished her broom. She wanted everything to be perfect for her first (and only) ever round of tryouts. Sure, she was only going to be captain for one year, but she should still try to make it a good one, right? She didn't want to be remembered as a dud, especially not with Bethany following up. Her family was kind of intense, after all, especially when it came to quidditch.

Brennie walked out onto the pitch, glad that it was a pretty nice day. He was excited to get to play alongside Lia and the rest of his teammates. Sure, there was a good chance he wasn't going to make the team, but he had always been reserve, just in case. Luckily, nothing had ever happened to where he was actually needed to play, but it was better to be safe than sorry. He filled out the yearly paperwork, happily handing it back before stepping to the side to do yoga and wait for Lia to wander out.

xxxSaffron walked onto the quidditch pitch, a big grin on her face. She was really eager to get started. She smiled at Ilene and filled out the application before handing it back,"Here you are, Captain," Saf stepped back to begin her stretching, she definitely didn't want to risk pulling a muscle. She pulled her hair up out of her face, it was getting rather long, but she liked the way it look, so she didn't think she would be asking her mother to take out the kitchen scissors again anytime soon. As they waited for tryouts to begin, Saffron made sure to greet and smile warmly at any new or returning players. Naturally, the occasional "Hi, I'm Saffron!" slipped out.

Gideon made his way down to the quidditch pitch for tryouts. He didn't really think he'd make the starting lineup, opposite to Rhiannon, whose complaining he listened to for the majority of the prior year, but he didn't mind being a reserve as much. It gave him more time to practice without the pressure of a real game. Then again, he didn't really feel the constant need to prove himself to everyone, like some twin sister he knew. Gid filled out an application and handed it back to Ilene, who was the captain for the year. He gave her a polite grin before stepping to the side and taking after the older students who had begun stretching and warming up as they waited for all of the hopefuls to congregate on the pitch.

After taking flying last year, Yukon realized, it was kinda fun. He needed to do something with his days, besides Daily Dragon, and as such, he decided why not go for quidditch? Of course, He also wanted to be able to watch the occasional match occur. He decided, he would go for Keeper, he could hang out around the goals, and be a part o f the game, while also watching the game.

Just as last year, Lucas bounced onto the pitch with his mum’s old broom, excited for tryouts. His expectations of making the first string were low, but it didn’t matter mall that much to him as long as he still got to play and have fun. The blond had scanned his housemates, looking for Roland, but it didn’t look as though his classmate had made it out onto the pitch yet. Figuring his friend would show up soon, Luke stood off to the side to stretch and waited for Roland to join him.

Thankfully she made it without tripping or breaking her broom and gave a grin and wave to Saf and the others who were already there before greeting Lena as she filled out her form. Once she did she went over next to Brennie to wait for the start of tryouts.

Bethany made her way onto the pitch, looking around as she grabbed up a form to fill out. Last year hadn't been terrible, but now there was a new quidditch referee and it was probably the worst one, at least in Bethany's opinion. Her mum. The quidditch pro. Bethany knew better than to expect preferential treatment, and she also knew that she'd likely be expected to do better than he had been doing. Well, if that was the case, she was going to prove that she was one of the best players on the team. Filling out the form, she stepped back and frowned critically at the rest of the team. They'll do well, she knew it. Making her way over to Lia and Brennie, she settled back to watch everyone come in.

spaceRoland made his way out to the Quidditch pitch, nervous butterflies fluttering in his stomach and generally making a nuisance out of themselves. Dagrun had graduated, so there was a chance he might be on the actual team this year, and he didn't know how to feel about that. He didn't think he was bad, and Joel gave him plenty of pointers, but he still wasn't sure he was ready to play an actual game. He wouldn't have much choice, though, unless he bailed on the team altogether. He might've been nervous, but he wasn't nearly that nervous. He did enjoy Quidditch, after all, and he played pretty much the easiest position on the whole team, besides. So, he'd be fine... right?

Shui was sad it was his last year of quidditch. He was considering doing pro for a bit to build some money for his own restaurant. He was pretty good at it. Surely someone would want him right? He approached greeting the team captain and took a form to fill out. Passing it in he went to go stretch

Ollie was happy to be back at school. The weird dreams seemed to happen less often so he was at least getting four to six hours of sleep now. He scooped up the form and filled it out before passing it in. He was glad Jarrett showed no interest in sports. He'd hate to see Jarrett as a beater. Once signed up Ollie went over to stretch.
