I'm currently hosting a contest in the ATG clan...
... On a completely random side curiosity-type thing, I'm wondering if anyone else here knows who Alister Crowley is. My mother thinks I'm weird for knowing this, and I think she's weird for NOT knowing this.
...The prize is 5k. Why not swing by and check it out?

Hah, I guess I'm the odd one then. Alister Crowley was the founder of the Satanic religion, as far as I know anyway. The only reason I know this is because one of my best friends is a satanist. But my mom got mad when I told my little brother who he was xd

Well, my mom sent me to the video store yesterday to rent movies. I couldn't find anything all that good, but I picked up this one about Alister Crowley. Probably low-budget, but hey. Maybe she'll learn a lesson. My little brother asked who Crowley was, and without really thinking I told him. Mom (Who, by the way, CLAIMS to be a christian) Wasn't even too pleased by my knowledge of the guy xd

She hasn't been to church in a long time, and she certainly doesn't ACT christ-like. She really isn't pleased about all the random tid-bits of other religions I have picked up. xd

Ro: She'd hate my house-hold. biggrin We have a copy of the Koran, my mom used to be Baha'i and I've been to Baha'i summer camp, we have several books about the Jewish faith and a Kosher cookbook, we have and use tarot cards, we have a guide to the New Testament written by Issac Asimov, we all study various faiths randomly... And we're Christian. biggrin Lol. I want to meet your mother and give her a Baha'i blessing or something. xd

@Kerries: Been raining here for about 36 hours straight now... and windy, which is always a lovely combination... rolleyes biggrin However, it'll be great for the snowpack in the mountains. Provided we don't get some freak heat wave or something. ^_^
And I think I'd love to see the look on Rol's mom's face if you did that... rofl

Ha, that would be interesting. She'd probably start preaching at you. That's one of the reasons all of my friends are afraid of her. I have a satanist friends, and a couple who seem to be Wiccan, although I've never asked. Most of my friends are agnostic though.
